Image of Transport to
Materials:
Major parts of the cell in
transporting materials
Plasma Membrane:
It is the outer boundary of the cell consisting
lipid bilayer, ion channels, and aquaporins it
allows substances to pass through enter or
out.
Phospolipid bilayer:
Main component of the cell consisting back-
to-back layers of lipid molecules. Lipid
molecules made up of carbon, oxygen, and
hydrogen atoms this allows to sea, itself if it
is broken.
Ion Channels:
it is made up of proteins acts as a pore it
allows ions to pass freely through the cell
membrane.
Aquaporin:
it is also made up of proteins to allows
water molecules to pass through in the
cell membrane.
Interstitial fluid:
it sorrounds the cell consisting water,
nutrients, oxygen and etc. for the
suitable environment of the cell it is also
used in exchanging blood (plasma) in the
capillares.
Protein Pump:
Uses energy to move substances through the
plasma membrane.
Glut Transporter:
It is a type of protein that allows to move
molecules int and out of the cell.
