Job description:
Works as field Operator in YANSAB, Ethylene Glycol Plant (EG), one of SABIC petrochemicals companies.
And a member in Emergency Response Team (ERT)
As Field Operator – Make sure the plant running smooth and safe which dealing with hydrocarbons (Ethylene,
Oxygen, Methane, EDC, Caustic and Acid) by monitoring on shift in the assigned operating area, the operation of
processing plant and all equipment and ongoing maintenance work. It includes regular inspection of operations
(field tours), adjustment of a variety of valves and switches, maintaining all equipment in synchronization and
taking and analyzing log readings from a variety of gauges and indicators. Changeover of rotating equipment.
Checking level of lube oil in rotating equipment. Keep monitoring critical equipment such as turbine driven
compressor and huge pumps. Reports any anomalies noted to his Supervisor and/or to the Operator in control
room duty.
Also working as panel operator DCS (Yokogawa system) taking control of plant parameter.
Attending the departmental safety, health and Environment meetings participates in plant inspection tours and
takes active participation in implementing Company policies on safety, health, loss prevention and quality
management.
Observing all safety, fire and security rules and regulations, including the use of protective clothing and
equipment and ensures that all personnel working in his area comply with safety procedures. Ensures the
maintenance of assigned area in clean and tidy conditions.
Worked for total shut down & start up the plant for schedule turn around maintenance and reparations (ends of
2012)
Worked as safety officer for period of 30 days in Olefins plant during repairing cooling water lines.
