• a.m. stands for ante meridiem and p.m. stands for post
meridiem.
• a.m. for time after 12 midnight and before 12 noon.
• p.m. for time after 12 noon and before 12 midnight.
• We do not write 12 a.m. or 12 p.m. We use the words 12 noon
and 12 midnight.
• We change a.m. to p.m. or vice a versa when we cross 12
noon or 12 midnight.
• For example: one hour before 1:15 p.m. is 12:15 a.m. and 2
