• Multiple different types of music and different subjects such as some are vocalists, guitarists or producers
• Already have significant knowledge in this area
• I am also in the music scene meaning I also already have lots of subject matter to work off
• Big variation in genres meaning I can capture multiple audiences
• Opportunities to make more connections with people
• Interviews with under appreciated musicians
Limitations :
• Cant guarantee people are available
• Certain subjects may be quite niche
• Cant guarantee some people would be comfortable being on film etc

Opportunities :

• Knowledgeable people who are into it
• I'm also knowledgeable about the subject
• have connections locally and in other areas of the country

Limitations :
• Could be niche depending on the subject
• Less people to work with locally
• York isn’t the best for fashion

4. Podcast
Pros :
• Can film the actual podcast / interview with the given interviewee
• Isn't massive work load and doesn’t have to be as strict with scripts etc
• Basic setup
• Easy to edit
• Can get additional footage to add to the podcast to make it more engaging
• Lets me and people watching get a closer insight into the local music scene
• Can add unique features
Cons :
• Availability isn’t certain for people
• Is quite played out
• Need more unique features for people to stay engaged
• Might be for too niche to appeal to an audience

5. Pilot episode
Pros :
• A lot of creative freedom
• Have the software to edit and knowledge to make it stand out with unique features
• can show people a better look into the musical process and scene
• Lets me push my editing skills more and letting me branch out
• Lets me test out new features with camera work / skills
Cons :
• Big work load
• Takes more time for editing and filming
• More people needed possibly
• Stressful

Pros :
• A lot of creative freedom
• Lets me explore my photography more
• Have experience with photoshop etc
• Can add my own unique styles
• Second most optimal and interesting out of the three
• Have people who would want to be involved
Cons :
• Might lack original material
• Could be hard to find people and availability

7. Chosen format
music podcast
• I feel that a podcast would best suit my ideas as it allows me to fully show off music and the diversity
within it whilst exploring multiple genres, what goes into it, the artist, their thoughts, life experiences
and what inspires / motivates them to make music. I've also chosen this format as I already have
experience with making a podcast as I did it with a couple of friends last year and understand the
needs for it such as good lighting, multiple camera angles (if possible) , to be prepared with questions
but to not make it feel scripted but organic etc.
I also feel even though it is predominantly focused on the conversation I can add unique touches to
make my ideas differ from the rest and not make it a generic “podcast” by including some footage of
the artist performing and just living their day to day life to make it feel more down to earth and
inclusive for the viewer to get a bit more detail about the artist not just in words but actions.
What I need :
• Need to know availability of people
• Research already available products / podcasts
• Study on how to set up a successful and engaging podcast
• Find a unique style that I want to achieve
• Learn some new editing techniques by watching tutorial videos
