1. CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
A. BACKGROUND
Adolescence is a transitional period, when a child begins to grow up. At first glance from a
physical point of view, of course, it looks like it has grown perfectly, tall and big. But when
viewed from a mental perspective, sometimes teenagers still have to learn a lot about life,
social or humanity. There is no word of trial and error in the search for identity, once it falls it
is difficult to develop into a quality society. It is in this transitional period that adolescents
are in the gray of doubt, having difficulty distinguishing between black and white.
According to Paul Moedikdo, SH juvenile delinquency are all actions which from adults
constitute a crime for children are delinquency so everything that is prohibited by criminal
law, such as stealing, molesting and so on. All acts of deviation from certain group norms to
cause chaos in society. All actions that show the need for social protection.
The rise of juvenile delinquency that is happening right now will definitely bring new
problems for parents, but often parents blame educational institutions that are incapable of
educating or blame the environment around us. The current developments in technology,
especially the internet, have had a significant impact on the development of the behavior
and mindset of children and adolescents.
2. Without the knowledge of parents, children/adolescents can easily access adult photos or
videos from their peers as well as from existing pornographic sites, which are triggers for
juvenile delinquency to occur, such as free sex, sexual perversion, to early pregnancy among
adolescents and associates. free.
But how naive it would be if parents blamed other people as the cause of their child's
delinquency. Juvenile delinquency does not arise from just one factor, but many factors that
surround their situation.
The loss of control from parents makes today's children no longer a kite, waddling in the sky
but still being controlled. But our children today are like an airplane and are piloted by
themselves. Once again juvenile delinquency is not only created by environmental factors
and also because of the progress of the times but is a result of a reaction from various
components (behavior) which eventually settles under the child's consciousness. Therefore,
it often happens that parents' words when advising children are not in accordance with their
own behavior.
For this reason, a serious effort and action is needed in dealing with the problem of juvenile
delinquency so that adolescents do not fall into negative things so that adolescents can
develop their potential and achieve achievements.
3. CHAPTER II
DISCUSSION
A. DEFINITION OF TEENAGE DETERMINATION
Education experts agree that adolescent are those aged 13-18 years. At that age, a
person has gone beyond childhood, but is still not mature enough to be considered
an adult. It is in a transitional period.Adolescence is an age that is filled with very
high enthusiasm, but sometimes this enthusiasm leads to a negative nature, so it is
often called juvenile delinquency. From medical science, teenagers are those aged
between 12-21 years. Adolescents will experience a period of physical and
psychological development as follows:1. Pre-puberty (12 - 13 years)2. Puberty (14 -
16 years)3. Late puberty (17 - 18 years)4. And the Adolescent period (19 - 21
years)Juvenile delinquency includes all behavior that deviates from criminal law
norms committed by adolescents. Such behavior will harm himself and those
around him
4. CHAPTER III
CLOSING
A. CONCLUSION
Based on the discussion in chapters I to chapter II, it can be concluded that juvenile
delinquency includes all behavior that deviates from criminal law norms committed
by adolescents. Juvenile delinquency is caused by various factors, both external and
internal factors. Deviant behavior by adolescents has a negative impact both for the
adolescents themselves, their families and the surrounding community. To prevent
juvenile delinquency, it is necessary to pay attention from the family, the
government and especially the awareness of the youth themselves.
B. ADVICE
In order to avoid juvenile delinquency, we should not be easily influenced by things
that are not good and can make us fall into negative things. We must increase our
knowledge and study well and hold fast to the teachings of our respective religions.
