Project: Bosch – Next Generation Workspace

Role: Implementation, peer review and QA.
Description: The goal is to provide a system where users can create new team rooms (team sites) and work
collaboratively on documents. SharePoint 2013 was identified as the solution for the demand for
a collaboration platform and document management system. In order to not set up new team
sites manually, a provisioning process has been designed to automatically setup new team rooms
according to the defined room templates. This is good for security, operations and resource
reasons, because otherwise a large number of people would need regular access to the servers in
order to create the team rooms manually. The customization of SharePoint has the aim of
building the foundation for the transition to SharePoint. In this regards custom site templates
have to be developed, roles & permissions have to be created and metadata has to be in place.

Project: Application Compatibility Factory (ACF)

Description: At ACF we help customers to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1. Due to change in
architecture and security of operating system, there are many line of business applications which
do not work properly on new targeted operating system. At ACF we test these applications,
remediate them and repackage before delivery of app. As the name implies ACF runs on Factory
model where each process has its own process line.

Project: Altria - Application Compatibility
Client: Altria
Role: Offshore Lead.
Description: Altria was Application compatibility project which was executed offshore. It had various modules
like assessment, remediation, sequencing, packaging and SCCM deployment testing.
Responsibilities:
• On boarding the project in factory where, as per SOW we have to provide all relevant data to ACF so that ACF can hire
resources accordingly
• Get all the necessary data from clients during daily calls, get all the clarifications raised from ACF team
• Update client on the inflow-outflow plan if there are any deviations
• Report all UAT issues to ACF and get them validated
• Weekly reporting to client and project management team
• Understand client requirements, if any deviation found from SOW then report the same to client and if necessary raise
it to Engagement manager so that a CR is created and presented to client

Description: L’Oreal is an international company. L’Oreal has am international site created using MOSS.
Through this main international site, each country can have a sub-site. Our clients wants us to
design and implement their India sub-site. India sub-site had all department pages and their
department activities. For example in HR department part of site they wanted to post internally
job opening through employee referral schemes. Here they wanted employees to submit friend’s
resumes, automatic mail notification for all employees and other workflow implementation. We
were successful in implementing the required workflows. Customizing the India sub-site pages as
per their requirement was done using SharePoint designer. L’Oreal was very much precise as to
how the access rights were given to user to India sub-site. For fulfilling their access permission
requirements we created separate different site permissions for India sub-site and assigned
permissions to users as per the requirement.

Description: Odin is a business process management web application developed for Makers Development
Services Pvt. Ltd. It uses the concept of offering object level security and views, where users can
gain access to any module or record or document, depending what access permissions have been
assigned to them. So an IT guy who purchases a printer for organization will only see details like
make of printer, model, etc. but an accounts user can only see details like amount to be paid to
vendor, percentage of various taxes, etc. Odin relies on a basic frame work which handles all
these security related issues. It has various modules which are explained below:
Module: Odin - Fitout
Tools/Platform used: Visual Studio 2008, C#, ASP .NET 3.5, SQL Server 2008, WSS, SharePoint designer.
Role: Developer
Description: This module was built to bring workflow management into organization, where a licensee
submits his request for change in structure to authorization of request. This module handles all
request approvals, authorization, daily check list for all security system, notifications to the
concerned people. Module uses a hybrid database, SQL Server 2005 for handling all basic data
and WSS to handle all documents submitted, their versions, workflows to be followed on update
of any document, etc. Documents submitted in this module are stored in a central repository.
Responsibilities:

Module: Odin – Document Management system (DocMan).

Description: DocMan is centralized document repository used across Odin for storing documents. Documents
submitted in any module of Odin are stored in this single repository, a WSS document library.
DocMan uses functionality provided by WSS for maintaining file version, alerting subscribed
users whenever a modification is made to document. All documents belong to category and
subcategory related with it. Document which are scattered around many folders can be linked to
each other by using one of the functionality provide for linking documents. Depending on access
rights to user in various modules, these documents are made available to him.

reports based on real time input done by users. It links to other modules where after completion
of one activity other activities are needed to carry out. This module heavily depends on observer
pattern where every user can be observers for subjects like cost, activity, schedule, etc. Uses
SharePoint for workflow management and alerts.
