PORCELANOSA is the industry leader when it comes to
environmental impact management. We have been
an ISO 14001 certified organization since 2004.
ISO 14001 is the globally recognized Environmental
Management System (EMS) standard. ISO 14001
certified companies such as PORCELANOSA
actively manage the impact of their activities on
the environment and practice sound environmental
management.
We are committed to the environment. Here are just a
few of the important investments we have made under
our environmental initiatives we call ecotech:
Residual heat from our kilns used to produce our
tiles is captured and converted into electricity
via our own turbines. We produce enough
electricity to run our plants AND return electricity
to the power grid.
Waste water from the manufacturing process
is captured and treated in one of our 10 water
purification plants and pumped back to our
factories for re-use.
All of the material that does not pass our strict
quality process is recycled into raw form and is
re-used in future production.
A dedicated recycling program is in place for
all paper, plastic, and wood materials at our
manufacturing facilities.
