HOSPA WEBINAR: THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY IS GETTING READY, ARE OUR GUESTS DOING THE SAME?
We asked people about what they are looking forward to the most after the lockdown is released and the pandemic is over.
The most used words were, one week more, ‘family’, ‘friend’ and ‘see,’ most of the times combined in the same sentence. This week, looks like mentions
to the grand-related family climbed to the top 9 (grandchildren, grandson, granddaughter, etc.), suggesting that the movements in the list are always
related to family and those people who are close. Family adds up to 47% of mentions, which is a 7% higher than last week.
4% of the respondents mentioned ‘work’. Less than 1% mentioned ‘job’. 0.22% mentioned ‘business’. Compared to that, ‘in person’ (1%), ‘visit’ (2%),
‘socialising’ (3%), ‘freedom’ (4%) are more likely to be mentioned. Again, sentiment is always personal relationship-concerning. Also, maybe due to the
spring is here, holidays are gaining strength. Now, considering together ‘travel’ and ‘holiday’, up to 8% of the respondents are looking forward to visit
other places.
Again, main focus is always on personal relations and the sense of freedom and fresh air that holidays, travel and visiting family (also combined in the
same activity) could offer after a long lockdown period.
