About 12 months ago, I left a comfortable job in the advertising industry to pursue a new career in web3. In the last months, I ran a NFT marketplace, read dozens of books and listened to more than 100 podcasts just to get up to speed on Blockchain. This is what I learned: NFTs and Metaverses are a lot more than the media wants us to believe and successful brands such as Adidas, Starbucks or Gucci are able to use Blockchain technology to create long lasting bonds with their communities. I have also observed first hands how the web3 landscape is evolving. We are shifting to a utility first world and these projects need to deliver tangible benefits to their communities of users.
