Domino 10 shipped jam packed with awesome new features you'll love. And in this webinar, you'll learn how to bring the best out of them with the Ytria tools. You'll learn about deletion logging, replication and synch-up, Domino On Disk Structures (ODS) and what they mean, and more—as well as how you can enable and enhance these features using our upcoming EZ Suite version 19.

8. Deletion Logging
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
Introduction
Previously: work with Deletion Stubs & combine info with user activity
to find out who deleted what.
Deletion Logging: now you can see who deleted what, and more
New feature logs deletions to the IBM Technical Support directory
including:
o User who deleted the note
o UNID, note class, Deletion type
o Up to 4 fields of your choice.

10. Deletion Logging
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
How to set it up
1. Make sure your server uses transaction logging
2. Use compact <dbpath> -dl on “field1, field2, field3, field4” to
enable*
3. Download Daniel’s deletion log parser from his website
4. Sign the template, create the NSF and set up your configuration
Let’s see all this live!
DL Setting replicates
You’ll need to rely on deletion stubs to find out where the deletion
took place.
Note:
11. Cluster Symmetry
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
What it’s all about and how to get the most out of it
If you didn’t use clustering before, you’ll want to.
Streaming Cluster Replication monitors folders and repairs databases
automatically to ensure symmetry (including creating databases!)
Automates NSF and NLO (DAOS) Symmetry using high speed file
transfer
NLOs: even encrypted NLOs are repaired: automatically decrypted by
server, repaired, and encrypted on the target server.

14. Cluster Symmetry
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
How to set it up – continued
3. Add the D10_ENABLE_REPAIR=1 notes.ini line on ALL cluster mates
4. Review your CLDBDIR:
5. Add the AutoRepair task to all cluster mate’s ServerTasks notes.ini
line
15. Cluster Symmetry
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
How to manage
Use the ‘Repair’ console command to manage the
AutoRepair feature
>_ Repair List Files / Missing / Enabled / Disabled
>_ Repair All
>_ Repair show config / jobs
Gotcha! Domino security still applies! ACLs must allow
replication and disabled replicas won’t replicate
17. Database Repair
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
Automatic repairing of damaged databases
Replaces previously used DBCapture tool (that had to be
enabled via DATABASE_CAPTURE_ENABLED=1)
Upon encountering damaged databases & NLOs, runs
fixup.
o If the fixup fails, takes replica offline and replaces it with healthy
replica
o Bad replica kept on server according to cluster configuration:
o Enable by adding repaircleanup to the servertasks notes.ini
18. Replication
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
So what about standard replication?
All previous features affect only cluster replication
New replication diagnostic tools for standard
replication:
o >_ replicate <server> <dbpath> -F: clean replication without clearing
replication history
o >_ replicate <server> <dbpath> -l: log replica differences to console
log, but don’t actually replicate
o Note: when performing replicate –F: by default – no logging
o Use REPL_SYNC_VERBOSE=1
20. NSF Boundaries
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
What’s new with ODS 53
Physical Database Size
64GB -> 256GB
Fields in a database
~3000 (64k total length field names) to 32k / field name
Summary data: 32k > 64MB
Enable large summary by using compact <dbpath> -LargeSummary
ID Tables: 10x
Folder Limit: 50x

22. NSF Boundaries
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
Watch out!
Default ODS version is ODS52 unless otherwise specified
via server notes.ini
Gotcha! ODS53 isn’t enough: you need a Notes 10 client!
Gotcha2! To replicate 64GB+ databases, you need ODS53, D10 Server
AND client!
23. NSF Boundaries
www.ytria.com/ezsuite
How to upgrade your ODSes
On your Domino Server
Create_R10_Databases=1 in the server’s notes.ini
Run compact –c or dbmt OR compact –REPLICA
Notes Clients
Desktop Settings Policy > Mail tab > Client Settings >
Enable upgrade of all local NSFs to latest ODS version
Create_R10_Databases=1 AND NSF_UpdateODS=1
To revert to previous ODS*
Load compact –r <dbpath>
