- 4. You may need: Enough vapor 3-in-1, Flooring, broom & dust pan, tape, scissors/utility knife
- 5. Step 1: Get cleaning! Subfloor should be clean and free of dirt.
- 6. Step 2: Subfloor check – subfloor should be in good condition without damages
- 7. Step 3: Fix Subfloor – subfloor needs fixing if: It is sloping, has excessive gabs, cracks or any areas with moisture.
- 8. Step 4: Time to get started – roll out vapor underlayment with the silver side facing down.
- 9. Quick hint: Overlapping film should be towards open room & Tape strip next to wall
- 10. Step 5: Install Parallel to the wall
- 11. Step 6: Cut your measured section with a utility knife
- 12. Step 7: You may add tape to temporally hold underlayment in place
- 13. Step 8: Install flooring on the underlayment section already installed
- 14. Cross stack your flooring – make sure to acclimate your flooring at least 48 hours before the installation
- 15. Step 9: Start your new roll – repeat step 4 and start your next roll
- 16. Step 10: Measure and Pre-cut next section
- 17. Step 11: Combine edges - butt edges together making sure to overlap only the silver film
- 18. Step 12: Remove adhesive layer and stick to underlament
- 19. Step 13: Use additional tape to secure rows if needed
- 20. Step 14: Continue Installation according to manufacturers instructions
