Modern Nigeria was formed through the merging of two British colonial territories in 1914. Northern Nigeria’s population is mainly Muslim. Southern Nigeria’s population, on the other hand, is mainly Christian. The differences between the northern and southern Nigera have resulted in political, economic and cultural disagreements since colonial times. The power point presentation shows the root causes of the ethno-conflict in Nigeria. There is also a comparison of such conflict in Indonesia. The goal is to examine whether the lessons learned in Indonesia are applicable to such conflict.
