Real Estate QR Code

competition information
Get In The Know With QR Codes
2. • A QR Code, simply put, is a two-dimensional bar code that can be scanned with Smartphones (such
as iPhones, Androids, Blackberry's) using a free QR Reader app, which goes directly to detailed
content and contact information about a particular property or agent. QR codes provide
immediately, easy mobile access in a non-intrusive manner.
• Our use of marketing with QR codes allows anyone to scan the code and obtain all the information
they need without having to navigate an entire website or search a national portal. This is mobile
access at its best—taking clients directly to the listing about which they are inquiring. Placing these
QR codes on our sign riders, flyers, marketing materials, and advertisements provides full-spectrum
usage of the latest instant real estate technology. But even more importantly, our use of digital
marketing and advertising with QR codes via email, web pages, virtual flyers, and mobile files is the
most green option!
• For each listing, we create an individual sub-domain address—which is like each property having its
own mini website. The QR code then created for the listing goes directly to this sub-domain on any
Smartphone, showing all photos, property details, agent contact information, and virtual media.
And because they are still within the Shores website all tabs, buttons, and links are still accessible if
further navigation is desired.
• There are endless choices of free QR readers and applications to easily download for Smartphones.
Depending on your mobile service and type of phone, some might work more efficiently than
others. The following are several websites which provide these free downloads, as well as lists of
the phones which are supported and other valuable tips and tricks:
3. Let Buyers see photos, floor plans and listing information

Each and every QR Code can be made so that it is instantly recognized
as your own and make you stand out as a tech leader in your market

more people are using mobile devices to find what they
want on the net including real estate information
9.
10. Don’t miss an opportunity to get buyers to stop and

device and have your contact information with it
11. Why You Need QR Codes Now
• As an intriguing leave-behind
• "I have a QR code on the back of my business card that takes people to a video. I leave my card at properties that I
show and hand them out to my customers, new prospects, and businesses. The [QR code] makes the card come
alive. There’s a testimonial video for me right on my card. It’s a great way for me to market and promote myself. I
constantly hear, 'So, this takes you to a video?! Wow, that is so neat!'"
- Anne-Marie Wurzel, Coldwell Banker, Winter Springs, Fla.
• On yard signs.
• "QR codes will become mainstream as more people use iPhones, Androids, and BlackBerrys. Just look at any of the
recent ads from Best Buy and even Sears. They’re using QR codes to market their products. We’re putting them on
yard signs to direct people to virtual tours. Instead of typing in the URL, they can just scan the bar code with their
smartphone."
- Matthew Fox, Coldwell Banker West Shell, West Chester, Ohio
• To appeal to Gen Y.
• "I use them on my print advertising and property flyers. I’m planning to use the QR code to link to YouTube tours
of the home. Younger buyers love it."
- Chip Plumley, Prudential Fox & Roach, Kennett Square, Pa.
• To impress sellers.
• "QR codes bring new life to our tired old print marketing. Most of the feedback I’ve heard centers around the wow
factor. Sellers always want the latest and greatest tools to market their home. QR codes are free and easy to
make, so it’s sort of a no-brainer. Send consumers to your Facebook business page, your Twitter profile, a
Foursquare venue, or a testimonial video on your YouTube channel—the options are endless. But if you’re going to
use QR codes, make sure you can explain how they work to consumers, and keep it simple. For example say:
'Download a free QR code reader to your smartphone; open it and point your smartphone camera at the QR
code, and you’re taken directly to my site.'"
- Stefanie Hahn, Education Director, Coldwell Banker Hearthside, Realtors®, Collegeville, Pa.

• This technology we brought back from the Real Estate Marketing Summit in San
Diego in November of 2010. There market is already utilizing this great technology
of QR Codes and mobile check in’s for events and listings. Buyers & Sellers expect
it because they know they want their prospects to have an easier way to obtain
information, while the agents love it because their contact information is loaded
onto that prospects phone and they can obtain the results on who, where and
how many people have scanned their QR Codes & Checked In at said locations.
Imagine knowing the percentage of female to male ratio, mobile device carrier and
age all from a updated controlled application that is non intrusive in getting your
message out. We brought this back to Southwestern Michigan and implemented it
at Shores Real Estate in South Haven and then taught a courses at the
Southwestern Michigan Association of Realtors office for other area Realtors.
• Now is the time to get in front of your competition and stand out and reap the
rewards of this simple to use technology…
