PERSONAL PROFILE
A geologist holding a B.Sc. in geology, an M.Sc. In petroleum geoscience and an M.Sc. in reservoir
characterisation and modeling with over 8 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Previously held
roles as log analyst at Petraphysics and geologist at Sonatrach, and spent last 3 years working for
Ikon Science as geologist/Pore pressure specialist focusing on pore/fracture pressure and seal/fault
analysis in both clastic and carbonate with strong interest in non-conventional resources (shale and
tight gas). Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, attentive to detail with a practical
approach to problem solving, familiar with PC and keen to learn new software and skills, enjoys being
part of a successful and productive team, seeking a position as GEOLOGIST.
EDUCATION
2010-12 University Mohamed Boughara, Boumèrdès, Algeria.

Research project:
Characterization and Geomodeling of the Cambro-Ordovicien tight gas reservoirs of the
HNIA field, Illizi basin, Algeria.
2005-06 University of Manchester, UK.
M.sc. Petroleum Geoscience
Research project:

WORK EXPERIENCE:
2013-16 Ikon Science, Durham, UK.
Position: Geologist
Key Responsibilities :
I joined Ikon Science in January 2013 as Geologist where I have worked along side experts in
geopressure, rock physics and geomechanics on projects from small to regional scale in basins both
offshore and onshore worldwide. My key responsibilities were:
1
2. Pore and fracture pressure prediction using wireline logs and seismic velocity data for well
planning and monitoring the pore pressure during drilling operations;
Generate a pre-drill model including well planning, casing design and mud weight program
using RokDoc software;
Provide the geological lead in communication and decision making in real time (before and
during drilling) and help with risk management;
Perform thorough post-well reviews of all relevant data and update pore pressure
prediction models as required;
Identification of hydrodynamic conditions;
Seal and fault breach analysis;
Geological wire line log interpretation: qualitative and quantitative analysis;
Petrophysical studies: quick look and full evaluation using Geolog software.
2009-12 Sonatrach, Algeria.
Position: Geologist
Key Responsibilities :
I joined Sonatrach in January 2009 as geologist where I worked on a number of exploration and
development projects along geophysicists and senior geologists. My key responsibilities were:
Prospect identification and evaluation;
Experience in evaluating the petroleum system elements: source rock, reservoir, trap, seal
and timing;
Able to assess the risk and geological uncertainties for prospects and make the ultimate
decision to drill them cost effectively;
Achieving well proposal reports (position, prognostics using seismic and geological data);
Following-up from the office the wells being drilled (compile, analyse and review well
records, interpret geophysical logs, picking formation contacts, etc,);
Participate in selecting wireline pressure program, coring and test intervals.
Well to well correlations (Petrel);
Generating maps (structure, thickness, and reservoir properties) using petrel software;
Well logs and formation pressure data interpretation (IP);
Pore pressure analysis and reservoir fluid gradient and type;
Post-drilling reports;
Contribute to geological and reservoir characterization studies (sedimentology,
petrophysics, etc.).
2007-09 Petra physics ltd, London, UK.
Position: Log Analyst
Quick look and full petrophysical evaluation using Powerlog and IP software.
TEAM WORK:
In all my jobs I have worked in team based environments which has helped me to develop
planning, organising, coordinating, and problem solving skills.
By working on the group projects, I learned how to work effectively under pressure and to
strict deadlines.
