Gideon Shalwick is an online video and marketing expert. Why YouTube for your business: massive increase in businesses looking to use
YouTube, great place to make a great connection with your audience, more people are starting to watch YouTube on their TV screens, and
mobile views are growing. Eight out of ten viral YouTube videos are professionally produced. Huge 35 – 55 year old demographic age group
looking to find information on YouTube. A lot of niches are still wide open on YouTube, there is still a ton of opportunity. Sixty-nine percent
of marketers plan on increasing their YouTube marketing this coming year. Strategies for setting up a YouTube channel: focus on your area
of business passion, or your business skill. Then decide who your target market is, and start solving their problems via YouTube video.
Look to get your audience engaged and subscribe to your YouTube channel. YouTube views subscribers as a bonus, and gives you higher
ranking if you have a lot of subscribers. Look to get a lot of likes, comments, and shares with your video, rather than just high view counts.
Use both a real person as well as screen share views in your videos. Standing up and writing on a whiteboard works very well as well. Use
a unique custom thumbnail, it will help you stand out on YouTube. People scan YouTube by thumbnail images. Make sure it’s visually
attractive, along with some colorful graphics and text. (1280 x 720) or (16:9) our the best video sizes to use on YouTube. Great tool: go to
channel settings, in video programming, featured video: you can add your logo on all your videos in the bottom left corner, or add another
video you want in the bottom left corner of all your videos. Maybe look to use this as an advertising opportunity, check YouTube rules first.
Google the term “Vidiq Chrome Extension” to download and install a great tool that will show you information on videos, such as how many
social shares it’s had and the amount of engagement the video has received.
