Current Work: Currently a freelance creative content provider. Art
Instruction, Graphics, illustration, PR and copy writing.
1998- Present Freelance graphics, illustration, creative direction and concept
development. Illustration work has appeared in Rolling Stone
Magazine, Time Magazine as well as for Atlantic Records, McDonalds,
Borden, International Game Technology and more. Vital and exciting
graphic design, character design, ideation and more for multi-
national advertising agencies, animation companies and studios.
Public relations efforts have garnered appearances on The Oprah
Winfrey Show, Good Morning America and hundreds of top rated radio
shows, newspaper features and more. Clients have included
McDonalds, Procter and Gamble, Nickelodeon and Bath and Body
Works.
Marketing and Sales: In addition to making inbound and
outbound sales calls myself (from cold calls and warm to new inbound
customer service calls) I have initiated and implemented Five 9 (Virtual
call center), Salesforce and Insightly (CRM’s) to assist with building
effective sales and marketing programs and teams. This included
developing marketing tools and content marketing (I.E. email blasts,
direct mail campaigns, social media and public relations).

Fall 2014-spring 2015: Art Teacher, Green Dot Public Charter/Fairley High School,
Memphis, TN. Green Dot has been contracted to transform this low
performing school as of early 2014. I taught K-12 students at
Fairley High School. I was charged with developing and teaching all
lesson plans for the 2014/15 school year. I provided students with
comprehensive visual arts instruction, lectures, demonstrations,
guided practice and assessments. The goal was to provide
differentiated instruction that assisted students to successfully
transition into college and beyond.
Spring 2014 Adjunct Online Art Appreciation Instructor, Truckee Meadows
Community College, Reno, NV. I taught two classes in Art
Appreciation. These classes are introductory online classes taught
from Cincinnati, which explores fundamental principals of art, art
history and theory. Instruction comes in the form of video lecture,
demonstration, discussion and discussion essay review.
Spring 2014 Happen, Northside, Cincinnati, OH. I volunteered two evenings a
week to assist Happen, a nonprofit organization located in Northside,
Cincinnati, Ohio. Happen’s programs create a positive environment for
parents and children through art-related activities and experiences
designed to strengthen both the family structure and the community
as a whole. An estimated 7,000 children in Greater Cincinnati each
year experience the arts through Happen programs. Happen recently
won the prestigious Cincinnati Post-Corbett Award for Arts Education
and Outreach.
Fall 2010-Spring2013 Art Instructor, University of Nevada, Reno, NV. Multiple
drawing and visual foundation classes for ART 100 level.
Instructor for fundamental drawing practice, which includes
life drawing, still life, perspective, line, texture, shading,
materials as well as conceptual/aesthetic inquiry. I also
taught fundamental drawing, color, design and visual
ideation from freshman to senior levels. Wrote syllabus and
class plans, conducted critiques, demonstrations and graded

of Art University of Nevada Reno.
2001-08 Video Graphics Designer, International Game Technology, Reno,
NV. Designed logos, graphics, characters (also provided voice acting),
symbol design and interfaces along with glass graphics and many
production tasks for a variety of slot machines. Delivered a
presentation to game development group on brainstorming and
ideation techniques offsite in Chicago in 2002. I also lead various
groups in brainstorming sessions for new game functions and
themes. Currently have one patent pending.
1998-2000 Development Department, Klasky Csupo Animation, Hollywood, CA.
Responsible for designing the characters and overall look for new
show concepts. Character Designer for Rocket Power Nickelodeon
series and the McDonalds direct-to-video series. (This company
created Rugrats.)
Professional Skills
Several years graphic design/illustration experience in (Adobe Creative Suite)
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Approx. 4 years experience in After Effects
and Particle Illusion for motion graphics. One year of consistent training in
Lightwave 3D modeling and animation program as well as Blender. Working
experience in various film and sound editing programs. Working knowledge of Pro
Tools and Reason music composition programs. Ability to learn new programs
quickly on PC and Mac formats. Strong traditional drawing skill set.
Several years of experience in writing, ideation, product development and
brainstorming for several multi-national corporations.
University level instructor in visual foundations, fundamental studio art, character
design, illustration and drawing. Also independent drawing and character design
tutor.
Public speaking for corporate presentations, multi media broadcasts and academic
lectures.

Interests:
Amateur boxer for 27 years: Sparred with IBF world champion Kelvin Davis on four
occasions prior to his 2004 IBF Cruiserweight Championship match with Ezra Sellers
(KO-8). Incorporated boxing in performance art for Brazen Bull Exhibit in 2011and
MFA thesis exhibit, The Unknowability Center in 2013. Currently belong to The Hub
boxing Gym in Over The Rhine.
Indiana State Football: Lettered in football (linebacker/defensive end) at Indiana
State University (1978).
