1. GODDARD WINERY
This client based out of Sonoma wanted a fresh
packaging for their new summer red. Generally
a more traditional winery, the third generation of
Goddards was excited to put out their summer
red batch, labelled, simply “Summer Red”. They
wanted this particular packaging to be fun, fresh
and slightly “urban” while still recalling their
familyʼs Tuscan roots.
In response I created a collage using an old
photo of the familyʼs villa, focusing on the
beautiful architecture and a face of a woman
pulled from vintage imagery depicting a
bacchanalian feast. These classical pieces mixed
in a new way and juxtaposed with bright colors
and modern typography came together to reflect
the spirit of this fresh summer red, produced from
a traditional winery, rich with history and
a bright future.
