School Nickname
“Bronchos” was the nickname selected for Central Oklahoma in 1922
by Mrs. C.W. Wantland, wife of long-time UCO football coach C.W.
Wantland. The name was chosen from a number of suggestions for the
name of UCO’s football team and became the nickname for all athletic
teams at the school.
Mrs. Wantland was made an honorary member of the Letterman’s Club
as a result of selecting the nickname, becoming the first woman admitted
to that organization.

Hamilton Field House Records
Central Oklahoma plays all its home basketball games
inside Hamilton Field House, which opened its doors
on Jan. 8, 1965 when the UCO men’s team downed
intrastate rival Northeastern State 64-52.
UCO’s women started playing in the 3,000-seat facili-
ty in 1980 and are 261-176 (.597) in 35 years, including
a 82-44 mark (.651) over the past nine seasons under
head coach Guy Hardaker.
Hamilton Field House was re-named from Broncho
Field House on May 1, 1993 in honor of long-time UCO
coach and athletic director Dale Hamilton, who helped
design the building in the 1960s.
The facility underwent extensive renovation before
the 2001-02 season, with new chairback seats installed
around the floor level.
Hamilton Field House is also the home facility for
the volleyball and wrestling teams and numerous other
events, including the university’s graduation ceremo-
nies, are also held in the building.

Head Coach
Guy HardakerIn his 11th year as Central Oklahoma’s head coach is Guy Harda-
ker, who has turned the Bronchos into a perennial NCAA Division II
national tournament contender.
A member of the UCO Athletic Hall of Fame, Hardaker took over
the helm in 2006 after a highly-successful stint as boys high school
basketball coach and is 183-112 with the Bronchos.
He's led UCO to its only four Division II national tournament ap-
pearances and the Bronchos won 20-plus games a school-record four
consecutive seasons from 2007-11. Guy guided Central to a top-two
finish in the Lone Star Conference North Division the last five years
(two firsts, three seconds) in the league. Hardaker has coached 13
all-conference players, including two Player of the Year selections.
UCO finished a surprising 15-13 and was LSC North Division
runner-up in Hardaker's first year in 2006-07 and then really taking off
the next season.
The Bronchos gained a share of their first-ever LSC North Division
title in 2007-08 and made it to the LSC Tournament finals for the first
time since 1993 while also earning their first-ever Division II national
tournament berth.
UCO pulled out a thrilling overtime victory in the first round of the
South Central Regional before losing to eventual champion Washburn
to finish 24-8, the second-most wins in school history.
The Bronchos did even better in 2008-09, winning the outright LSC
North Division crown and making it back to the LSC Tournament
finals in again qualifying for the national tournament as Hardaker was
named LSC North Coach of the Year.
UCO picked up two hard-earned wins at the South Central Re-
gional to make the Sweet 16 for the first time ever before falling in the
finals to host West Texas A&M in finishing a best-ever 27-6.
Hardaker and the Bronchos came back with a 22-8 campaign in 2009-
10 finishing runner-up in the LSC North and making a third straight
national tournament appearance before falling in the first round.
Guy's best coaching performance came in 2010-11 when a team
featuring just one senior and missing six players who suffered sea-
son-ending injuries used a stirring late-season run to make the second
Sweet 16 appearance in school history.
The Bronchos were once again LSC North Division runners-up,
pulled off an overtime upset in making the LSC Tournament finals
before losing a one-point heartbreaker there and then knocked off two
higher seeds in advancing to the South Central Regional finals. UCO
fell short there to end a 22-10 campaign.
Central competed as a Division II independent in 2011-12 while
making the transition from the LSC to the Mid-America Intercolle-
giate Athletics Association and went 16-10 despite playing one of the
toughest schedules in school history. The Bronchos got off to a solid
start in their first season in the rugged MIAA in 2012-13 before a rash
of key injuries led to a 9-17 finish. UCO ended up 12-16 the follow-
ing year, upsetting Lindenwood on the road in the first round of the
MIAA Post-season Tournament.
Hardaker got the Bronchos back to their winning ways in 2014-15
with a 17-13 finish while again making it to the quarterfinals of the
MIAA Tournament before losing a close game. UCO had its best
season since 2009-10 last year, going 19-11 with a best-ever fifth-place
finish in the rugged MIAA and another quarterfinal appearance in the
league tournament.
Guy started his coaching career at Edmond Memorial High School,
serving as head girls golf coach and assistant boys basketball coach
from 1987-93. He led the Lady Bulldogs to two state championships
and one runner-up finish in golf while helping the boys basketball
team to three Class 6A state tournament appearances, capped by a

UCO. He led the basketball squad to four straight regional titles and the
Wolves qualified for the state tournament his last three years at the helm,
winning 67 games in that span.
Hardaker led Santa Fe to the Class 6A state title in 2004-05 and the
Wolves were ranked as high as 11th in the nation in 2005-06 before fall-
ing in the state tournament semifinals. He finished with a 173-148 record
at SFHS.

Bronchos to a 101-49 record in that span before leaving following his

In her third year as Central Oklahoma’s full-time assistant coach is Heather Davis, a former player for the
Bronchos.
David spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach for UCO before taking over a full-time role in the
summer of 2014. She’s helped lead the Bronchos to a 36-24 record the past two seasons, including a 19-11
campaign in 2015-16 that ranked as the best since 2009-10.
Heather started her college career at Division I Missouri-Kansas City and played two years there, averaging
4.9 points a game as a freshman and 2.2 points as a sophomore while earning Academic All-Summit League
recognition.
She came to UCO in 2010-11 and averaged 4.5 points and 2.7 rebounds a contest while starting in six of 32
games to help lead the Bronchos to a 22-10 record and Sweet 16 berth in the national tournament. Heather
started throughout the 2011-12 season, averaging 10.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists a game as a senior
while making 42 3-pointers.
Davis was a prep standout at Muskogee High School, earning All-District and All-State honors as a senior
while also garnering All-Conference accolades in soccer.
Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in May 2012 and her master’s in criminal justice
management and administration in May 2014.
Serving as Central Oklahoma’s graduate assistant coach in 2016-17 is Julia Mason.
Mason finished a standout, four-year career with the Bronchos last season.
After an illustrious high school career at Fairview, Mason went to Central Arkansas. She redshirted one
season and played in 27 games the next before transferring to UCO.
From 2013-2016, Mason would go on to play in 87 games for the Bronchos, starting in 82 of them.
Mason averaged 11.3 points per game as a sophomore, 10.4 as a junior, and 10.7 per contest as a senior,
when she led the Bronchos in scoring in six gmaes. She also helped the Bronchos reach the Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association quarterfinals in three consecutive seasons.
Mason’s two younger sisters (Olivia and Sadie) both play at UCO.

8. 2016-17 UCO Basketball Media Guide6
BRONCHOBASKETBALL 2016-17 UCO Basketball Media Guide
Central Oklahoma begins the 2016-17 season with
high expectations as Guy Hardaker enters his 11th
season in charge of the Bronchos.
Hardaker returns eight players from last year’s team
that won 16 games. He has three seniors with tons of
playing experience, and a fourth senior who is ready to
return from missing last year with an inury.
Hayley Bryan, Marley Anderson, Olivia Mason and
Ashley Stephens will lead the Bronchos into this sea-
son. Bryan returns in 16-17 after missing last year with
a hip injury.
Bryan has always been a physical presence inside for
the Bronchos, and with UCO having more size this
year, Bryan can stretch the floor and create matchup
problems for opposing teams.
Anderson is another veteran for Hardaker. The 5-5
guard has played in 86 games already for the Bronchos
and is capable of being a scoring threat as well as a
dangerous playmaker with the ball.
Olivia Mason looks to continue her solid play in her
senior season. The 6-foot forward is the leading return-
ing scorer for the Bronchos. Olivia Mason scored 8.3
points per game last year, and can also create matchup
problems with her ability to score from multiple spots
on the floor.
Stephens is another big presence for Hardaker, and
he believes that if she is healthy this year, she can have
a big year.
Stephens is a former transfer who has battled the in-
jury bug and played sparingly last year, 12 games, and
had a similar sophomore season two years ago, but the
6-foot-3 post player is a career .500 shooter.
Hardaker’s junior class is a small mix of big talent.
Megan Womack returns after making her way into the
starting lineup as a sophomore, a spot she wasn’t will-
ing to relinquish.
Womack averaged four points and four rebounds
per game last season and is looking to improve on
those numbers this year.
The other two juniors on the roster, Jesheon Coo-
per and Melinda Murillo, are both transfers who could
have an immediate impact.
Cooper comes from Shawnee Community College
in Illinois, and the 6-foot-5 post player is ready to
work for Central Oklahoma.
Hardaker said Cooper gives the Bronchos an op-
portunity to compete with anyone because her inside
presence changes his entire gameplan.
Murillo, a 5-5 point guard, is a workhorse. A transfer
from NEO, Murillo loves practice, cheers louder than
anyone for her teammates and has a nice game to back
up her vocal leadership.
Blake Blessington, Madison Lee, and Sadie Mason
are the three sophomores on the roster. Blessington
played in all 30 games, by design, last year for the
Bronchos.
Hardaker said Blessington’s development from year
one to year two is noticable, and he believes it will con-
tinue this season.
Madison Lee also picked up a ton of valuable min-
utes last year as a freshman. Lee played in 25 games,
and like Blessington, is ready to improve her numbers
in year two.
Sadie Mason is working hard to come back from
a torn ACL. She started a pair games as a freshman,
playing in 14 before the injury. Hardaker said Sadie
Mason has the ability to be a premier player if her re-
covery goes well.
The freshman class, called one of the best recruiting
classes under Hardaker, is loaded with talent.
First there’s Taylor O’Dell, who redshirted last year.
Hardaker said her improvement in practice a season
ago was big.
Shatoya Bryson, Nautica Butler, Gabrielle Johnson,
Summer Jones, and Ireon Smith round out the fresh-
man class.
Season Outlook
Central Oklahoma senior forward Olivia Mason is the leading returning
scorer for the Bronchos heading into the 2016-17 season.

ALVA, Okla. (Nov. 13) – McKenzie Solberg and Haley
Weathers combined for 23 of their 29 points in the second
half to spark Central Oklahoma to a season-opening 68-57
triumph over Southeastern Oklahoma in the MIAA/GAC
Challenge.
The Bronchos trailed by as many as 12 in the first half and
were down 30-26 at the break before surging in front in the
third quarter and then taking control in the final seven min-
utes of the final period.
Solberg scored 12 of her game-high 17 points and Weathers
11 of her 14 in the final two quarters for UCO, which avenged
a 69-66 loss to the Savage Storm in last year's season-opener.
UCO 72, Northwestern 65
ALVA, Okla. (Nov. 14) – McKenzie Solberg scored 14 of her
career-high 36 points in the fourth quarter to propel Central
Oklahoma to a 72-65 come-from-behind victory over North-
western Oklahoma on the second day of the MIAA/GAC
Challenge.
The Rangers had a nine-point advantage at 57-48 early in
the final stanza before Solberg had eight points in a 16-2 run
that gave the Bronchos a 63-59 lead with 2:50 left and UCO
closed out the win to complete a sweep of the season-opening
weekend classic.
Solberg made 10-of-13 shots with a pair of 3-pointers and
14-of-16 free throws in a 36-point outing that ranks as the
second-best in school history while adding seven rebounds
and five steals.
UCO 63, Oklahoma Christian 51
OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 17) – Five players scored during
a devastating 16-0 second-quarter run that gave Central Okla-
homa the lead and the Bronchos went on to topple Oklahoma
Christian 63-51.
The game was tied 18-18 two minutes into the second peri-
od, but it was a 34-18 UCO lead by the 2:45 mark as McKenzie
Solberg, Haley Weathers, Sadie Mason, Marley Anderson and
Julia Mason all scored.
The unbeaten Bronchos took a 37-26 advantage into
intermission and stayed safely in front the rest of the way in
improving to 3-0.
UCO 82, Mid-America Christian 69
EDMOND (Nov. 30) – Three different players scored in a
game-opening 8-0 run that gave Central Oklahoma a lead it
never relinquished and the unbeaten Bronchos cruised past
Mid-America Christian 82-69.
Julia Mason had two layups while Sadie Mason and McKen-
zie Solberg both scored from close range in the early surge for
UCO, which was never threatened after turning a two-point
first-quarter lead into a 13-point halftime cushion.
The Bronchos led by as many as 26 in the final two periods
and improved to 4-0 in their home debut.
UCO 81, Missouri Southern 79 (OT)
JOPLIN, Mo. (Dec. 3) – Julia Mason scored seven of her 17
points in overtime and converted the game-winning three-
point play with four seconds left to lift unbeaten Central
Oklahoma past Missouri Southern 81-79.
The Bronchos overcame a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit
behind Bailey Taylor's late-game sharp-shooting and then
Mason took over in the extra period to propel UCO in the
Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association opener for
both teams.
The Lions went ahead 79-78 with 17 seconds left in OT, but
Mason worked free for a layup at 0:04 and was fouled. The
senior standout drained the free throw to make it 81-79 and
UCO forced a turnover on the final play to hold on.
Pittsburg State 81, UCO 76
PITTSBURG, Kan. (Dec. 5) – Central Oklahoma went
through a third period shooting slump in losing a 12-point
lead and went on to fall to Mid-America Intercollegiate Ath-
letics Association rival Pittsburg State 81-76.
It was the first loss of the season for the Bronchos, who
dropped to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the league. The Gorillas

UCO led throughout most of the first three quarters and
was up 48-36 with 6:31 left in the third before going cold while

McKenzie Solberg combined for 24 of their 35 points in the
first half to stake Central Oklahoma to a comfortable lead and
the Bronchos went on to an 82-64 drubbing of Lincoln.
UCO tied a single-game school record by hitting 15
3-pointers, getting at least one trey from seven different play-
ers.
A Solberg 3-pointer less than two minutes into the game
to put the Bronchos on top 5-3 and UCO never trailed again,
going ahead 35-25 by intermission and cruising in from there.

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (Dec. 14) – McKenzie Solberg scored
19 points and Central Oklahoma overcame an early 8-0 deficit
to run past Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association
rival Lindenwood 83-68.
The Bronchos missed their first six shots of the game in fall-
ing into the early hole, but used a 10-0 run to get back in the
game and went on to take a 20-18 lead by the end of the first
quarter en route to notching their fifth win in six road games.
UCO improved to 7-1 on the season and 3-1 in the league,
while the Lions fell to 6-3 and 2-1.

EDMOND (Dec. 17) – Julia Mason drilled a 16-foot jumper
with 2.6 seconds remaining to propel Central Oklahoma past
upset-minded Southern Nazarene 64-62 Thursday night at
Hamilton Field House.

jority of the contest before pulling out the come-from-behind
victory in just their second home game of the season.
UCO improved to 8-1 with their third consecutive win,
while the Crimson Storm fell to 2-5 with their fourth straight

ADA, Okla. (Dec. 30) – McKenzie Solberg missed just one
shot in scoring 21 points and Marley Anderson had career

drained 13-of-25 attempts (52.0 percent) from 3-point terri-
tory in the 31-point romp and improved to 9-2 in their final
non-conference game of the season. UCO shot a season-high

time this season, climbing out of a 10-point halftime hole in
improving to 10-2 on the season and 4-2 in Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association play.
UCO outscored the Bearcats 11-3 down the stretch to com-
plete the rally, taking the lead for good at 56-54 on Weathers'
corner trey with 3:44 left to play.
Missouri Western 77, UCO 69
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (Jan. 4) – A gallant upset bid fell short
for Central Oklahoma here Monday night as the Bronchos
dropped a hard-fought 77-69 decision to unbeaten and No.
16-ranked Missouri Western.
UCO led 36-35 at halftime, was down three (56-53) after
three quarters and was within four (61-57) in the final 30 sec-
onds before the Griffons finally closed out the win.
The Bronchos fell to 10-3 on the season and 4-3 in the
Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in their
seventh straight league road game. MWSU improved to 14-0
overall and 8-0 in the conference.
Emporia State 74, UCO 63
EDMOND (Jan. 7) – Slow-starting Central Oklahoma fell
into a big hole early and never recovered in dropping a 74-63
decision to No. 8-ranked Emporia State.
The Bronchos missed their first six shots of the game in
falling behind 10-0 and could never catch up. UCO got within
four points later in the first quarter, but trailed by double digits
the entire second half in falling 10-4 on the season and 4-4 in
the conference.
The Hornets made nine of their 12 3-pointers in the first
half and held a 41-31 rebounding advantage in improving to
12-2 overall and 6-2 in the league with their fourth straight
win.
UCO 61, Washburn 51
EDMOND (Jan. 9) – Jordan Ward drained an early 3-point-
er to put Central Oklahoma in front to stay and Haley Weath-
ers' late-game trey made sure the Bronchos stayed there in a
61-51 victory over Washburn.
UCO never trailed after Ward's long-range shot from the
wing was on target 50 seconds into the contest, with the Bron-
chos going on to lead by as many as 14.
But the game was still in doubt in the final minutes after the
Ichabods crawled back to within two (51-49) when Weathers
tossed in the dagger, splashing through a corner trey at the
3:42 mark. Julia Mason followed a WU miss with a driving
layup to make it 56-49 and UCO went on to close out the win.
UCO 73, Nebraska-Kearney 65
KEARNEY, Neb. (Jan. 14) – McKenzie Solberg scored 16
of her game-high 27 points in the fourth quarter and tied a

7 from the line in the final stanza as the Bronchos earned their
first-ever road win over the Lopers while improving to 8-3
away from home.

outing while adding seven rebounds, two assists, one block
and one steal in 36 minutes.
Fort Hays State 59, UCO 56
HAYS, Kan. (Jan. 16) – Missed shots led to a missed oppor-
tunity for Central Oklahoma as No. 3-ranked Fort Hays State
survived the Bronchos 59-56.
UCO made just three of its last 26 field goal attempts after
taking a 14-point third-period lead and the Tigers ended the
extra session with a 9-2 run to overcome a 54-50 deficit in
handing the Bronchos the tough Mid-America Intercollegiate
Athletics Association setback.
Regulation ended in a 49-all stalemate, with UCO moving
in front 54-50 two minutes into OT on Jordan Ward's driving
layup and Haley Weathers' 3-pointer from the wing.

Southwest Baptist 77, UCO 62
EDMOND (Jan. 21) – Early turnovers and game-long
shooting woes proved too much for Central Oklahoma to
overcome in a 77-62 loss to Southwest Baptist.
The Bronchos had four turnovers in the first four minutes
in falling behind and shot just 20.8 percent (5-of-24) from
3-point range in dropping their second straight Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association contest.
UCO fell to 12-6 overall and 6-6 in the league in the opener
of a seven-game homestand. The Bearcats improved to 10-7
and 5-6.
UCO 77, Central Missouri 62
EDMOND (Jan. 23) – Haley Weathers hit consecutive
3-pointers to fuel a 16-0 first-half run that put Central Okla-
homa in control and the Bronchos went on to clobber Central
Missouri 77-48.
It was UCO's first win in seven tries against the Jennies,
with swarming defense and crisp passing leading the way
as the Bronchos bounced back in resounding fashion from
Thursday's disappointing loss to Southwest Baptist.
The Bronchos improved to 13-6 on the season and 7-6 in
Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play while
dropping UCM to 7-10 and 6-6.
UCO 77, Lincoln 62
EDMOND (Jan. 28) – Bailey Taylor scored 14 points to lead
a balanced attack and Central Oklahoma used another strong
defensive outing to topple Lincoln 77-62.
Taylor – one of four players to finish in double figures for
the Bronchos – also hit a big third-quarter 3-pointer to stem a
LU rally and ignite a game-clinching 15-5 run.
UCO scored 33 points off turnovers and made a sea-
son-high 15 steals for the second straight game while limiting
the Blue Tigers to 36.7-percent shooting from the field.
UCO 79, Lindenwood 58
EDMOND (Jan. 30) – Olivia Mason scored the last five
points of the third quarter to give Central Oklahoma some
breathing room and the Bronchos pulled away in the last 10
minutes for a 79-58 rout of Lindenwood.
UCO led 37-22 at halftime, but the Lions cut that 15-point
deficit to three late in the third period before Mason hit a
3-pointer and two free throws to boost the advantage to eight
(53-45) entering the final stanza.
The Bronchos turned it on from there outscoring LU 26-13
in the fourth period to win going away in a physical contest
that saw 46 fouls called.
Northeastern State 67, UCO 61
EDMOND (Feb. 6) – Central Oklahoma dominated most of
the game and trailed for just 36 seconds against Northeastern
State. Unfortunately for the Bronchos, that was the final 36
seconds of the game.
The RiverHawks used a devastating second-half 3-point
shooting barrage to overcome a 21-point third-period deficit
in forcing overtime and then scored the final nine points of
the extra session to hand UCO a stunning 67-61 setback.
NSU hit a long trey with 15 seconds left in regulation to pull
even at 55-all – the first tie since 3-3 in the opening minute –
and took its first lead at 62-61 on a layup with 36 seconds left
in OT.
The Bronchos missed three shots and had a turnover the
rest of the way, with NSU putting the game away at the free
throw line.
UCO fell to 15-7 on the season and 9-7 in Mid-America In-
tercollegiate Athletics Association play, while the RiverHawks
improved to 7-15 and 4-12.

her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter to spark Central
Oklahoma to a 78-63 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics
Association triumph over Northwest Missouri.
The Bronchos never trailed, led by 17 at halftime and ap-
peared en route to a rout before going cold in the third period.
The Bearcats pulled to within one by the end of the quarter
and it was tied twice early in the final stanza when Solberg
took over.
The senior guard scored six points during a 7-0 run that put
UCO in front to stay at 60-53 and the Bronchos pulled away
from there, improving to 16-7 on the season and 10-7 in the
league.
UCO 88, Missouri Western 78
EDMOND (Feb. 13) – A cold start put Central Oklahoma
in an early hole and the Bronchos never recovered in falling to
No. 8-ranked Missouri Western 88-78.
UCO never led after the Griffons hit a 3-pointer 23 seconds
into the game and made just 3-of-15 shots in falling behind
21-6 after the first period.
The Bronchos rallied to within six in the second period, but
were down 11 at halftime and trailed by double digits most of
the second half.
UCO fell to 16-8 on the season and 10-8 in Mid-Amer-
ica Intercollegiate Athletics Association play, while the
league-leading Griffons improved to 23-2 and 17-2.
Emporia State 68, UCO 59
EMPORIA, Kan. (Feb. 17) – Missed shots down the stretch
curtailed a spirited Central Oklahoma upset bid as the Bron-
chos fell to No. 22-ranked Emporia 68-59.
UCO misfired on its last four shots after pulling with-
in 64-59 in the final two minutes and made only 3-of-13
fourth-quarter field goal attempts – including an 0-of-6 effort
from 3-point range – in losing its second straight Mid-Ameri-
ca Intercollegiate Athletics Association contest.
The Bronchos dropped to 16-9 on the season and 10-9 in
league play, while the Hornets improved to 20-5 and 14-5.
Washburn 69, UCO 62
TOPEKA, Kan. (Feb. 20) – Rebounding woes proved costly
for Central Oklahoma as the Bronchos fell to Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association 69-62.
The Ichabods finished with a big 41-21 advantage on the
boards in the hard-fought contest, picking up five crucial
offensive rebounds in the closing minutes to maintain posses-
sion in holding off UCO.
It was the third straight loss for the Bronchos, who fell to
16-10 on the season and 10-10 in the league. WU improved to
15-11 and 11-9.
2015-16 Season Review

scored early and often to seize quick control in a 70-53 maul-
ing of Nebraska-Kearney.

rout.
UCO improved to 17-10 on the season and 11-10 in the
Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association to clinch a

since 2010-11 – and ended up fifth in the Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association standings at 12-10 while
dropping the Tigers to 24-4 and 18-4.
UCO 71, Lindenwood 56
EDMOND (Feb. 29) – Jordan Ward is not known for her
outside shooting prowess, but the Central Oklahoma point
guard came through in a big way from beyond the arc.
Ward – who made just three treys in UCO's first 28 games
– nailed back-to-back 3-pointers to ignite an astounding 20-0
fourth-quarter run that propelled the Bronchos past stubborn
Lindenwood 71-56 in the first round of the Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association Post-season Tournament.
Emporia State 65, UCO 54
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 3) – A defensive lapse late in

Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Post-sea-
son Tournament at Municipal Auditorium.

and then turned back third- and fourth-quarter UCO rallies
to advance to Saturday's semifinals.
