2. What is cyber bullying?
Cyber bullying is frighteningly similar to regular
bullying. There is usually one bully, one victim and a
collection of people who add to the bullying by
mocking the victim.
3. How is it seen by society?
The subject of cyber bullying is something that is
seen by the adult generations of today, as
something that is not that big of an issue but that
isn’t true. The only adults that truly see cyber
bullying as a problem are the parents of victims,
teachers and people who work with the victims of
cyber bullying. This isn’t enough.
Cyber bullying is a real issue and it should be
treated as seriously as ‘traditional’ bullying.
4. Some of the facts
38% of young people nationwide have been affected
by cyber-bullying.
Nearly one in five (17 percent) of London children
experiencing mean or cruel behavior online and a
quarter of kids in the capital witnessing the cyberbullying of a classmate or friend.
5. My aim for this film
My main aim with my film is to help spread
awareness of cyber bullying and also to help people
who are being cyber bullied have the confidence to
ask for help and not just suffer in silence because
they believe that no one will care. Even if the
bullying does not happen in the real world it is a real
issue.
By choosing this ideology to form the backbone of
my film I feel that I will be able to create a lasting
impression on my audience.
