2. Comments/Feedback from finished music video In this presentation I have collected all the comments that were made after we presented the audience our finished music video. I will start off by showing the good comments and then the bad ones. I will see if the audience took our preferred reading and see what they thought was done well or poorly in our video.

Good Comments “Good syncing with editing” “Great use of mise-en-scene” “Hand held camera works well” “The use of editing when sped up worked well with the genre” “The watch clip seemed like an original idea and the quick cuts were conventional to this king of genre. Therefore making look quite professional” “Lighting was very dark making it relevant for night life music” “Camera shots worked excellent to illustrate the main character is pissed out of his face from the party” “The mise-en-scene fitted well with the narrative” “Very creative with camera angles” “Clear narrative and not hard to understand”

Good Comments These comments show that we were successful in being creative with the camera and the narrative, as from these comments it shows we have successfully challenged the generic conventions found in most music videos. For example the comments below show that our video is highly entropic compared to videos outside of this genre: “Highly entropic for people outside audience” “Not original meaning its entropic” “Could be escapism for the audience”

6. Good Comments These comments show we were successful in creating a video that is highly creative through the use of different camera angles and editing speeds. This suits the genre we are aiming for. This can be seen from some of the feedback below. “The watch clip seemed like an original idea and the quick cuts were conventional to this king of genre. 7. Good Comments These comments show we were successful in targeting our audience and presenting to them we are using a stereotype of our target audience in our video. And that this is how society tends to portray teenagers in the media. “Matches target audience as genre is easily shown” "The drugs go well with the character and the narrative. 8. Good Comments We were also successful in creating a narrative that can be interpreted in many ways. For example this comment demonstrates that people can take our narrative and have their own opinion on it, as this person thought our character was drunk and coming home from the party. “Camera shots worked excellent to illustrate the main character is pissed out of his face from the party” However this comment could show that we didn't successfully communicate to the audience that our main character is high on drugs. This could be a problem in attracting our target audience as the use of the drugs fit with the conventions of the social realist genre which our video is based on.

9. Bad Comments “Watch could be more clearer, but good idea to show time passing on” “Could have been lighter as its hard to see what's going on” “lack of any sufficient lighting”

Bad Comments While these comments aren't anything major I do feel that our video could have been a bit brighter and clearer in some places, as I do agree that its sometimes hard to see what’s going on. However, this could be because the video was presented on a big projector screen so the video appears to be darker then it really is. But from this at least we know we were successful in communicating to the audience that our video is supposed to be set in the dark, as this fits in with the social realist genre that appeals to our target audiences party lifestyle.

11. Comments/Feedback from finished music video From these comments I feel that we were successful in making our video creative by using different camera angles and other filming/editing techniques. This helps make our video feel entropic compared to other music videos while still suiting the genre the music belongs to. Also from the feedback we were successful in presenting the narrative to the audience so that it can be interpreted in many different ways. But I'm mainly glad that the audience picked up on the fact that we were using the main character as a representation of our target audience. And that we successfully communicated to the audience how society portrays teenagers in the media today.
