Skills:
I have over 30 years of experience beginning with Electrical apprenticeship training from my father during my high
school years and right after including working on Grand Coulee Dam during the addition of the third powerhouse in the
early 1970’s. I have also worked as a Construction Supervisor, Contractor, Builder, Remodeler, Master Craftsman,
Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Technician, Building Construction, Maintenance/Repair, Flooring Installer, and Business
Management of my Own Companies and in many other Constructions, Inspection related fields. In these roles, I have
also been a Carpenter-Asbestos Abatement Supervisor as a US Air Force Civilian employee at Vandenberg Air
Force Base, Lompoc, Ca., a Builder Instructor/Equipment Operator/Safety Officer/Master of Arms in the US Navy
Seabee’s at Port Hueneme in Oxnard, Ca., one of approximately 12 Commercial Roofing Inspectors for Pacific Bell of
Northern California, (aka.-AT&T- North of Bakersfield in Ca.) I believe that my lifelong experiences, abilities, and work
as a, “Professional Master Craftsman,” in several of the Construction trades, including; an equipment operator doing
grading, site preparation, concrete form setup, rebar installation, concrete pour preparation and finish, steel forming
(rebar), rough wood and metal stud framing, plumber, rough in and finish electrician, Electro-mechanical Technician,
low voltage, high voltage, electrical installation, drywall installation, tape,
texture, and painting, finish carpentry, staining finish wood and clear wood finish, floor tile, vinyl, ceramic tile, carpet
(both custom commercial and custom high end, residential flooring installation as a flooring contractor), swimming pool
construction and maintenance, Residential and Commercial roofing installer/supervisor, trim and siding installer, finish
cabinetry installation, certified sub-grade and above ground waterproofing professional, fencing installer, and curb,
gutter, sidewalk, and driveway site preparation, and installation, including, but not limited to, completion of large
residential, and commercial construction projects. I am also an excellent Asbestos/Mold Remediator with many
4. successful Remediations’ completed in the last 18 years. The skills required to conduct Any remediation are varied and
include; Set-up of Safe Temporary containments, Safety Procedures Implementation and Safety Compliance of
Environmentally Controlled Safe Air and Filtration Technique Air Supplies being followed, the Safe and Methodical
Demolition of affected building Materials, the sometimes tight areas they are in, temporary structural support of the
Building’s Load & Non-Load Bearing Structure, and the Support of non structural Equipment, materials, and other
varied loads. You must know how to Repair, Rebuild, and do finish work in those Remediated spaces to stop the
original cause of the problem, and to build back the areas to a state that is better than original. Maintain and Adhere to
OSHA Safety Compliances of Enclosed Space, in commercial/residential buildings and knowledge of interior, and
exterior, Construction techniques and the different building materials used in the construction of those buildings. The
level of cleanliness required is equal to or better than laboratory or hospital clean! Many times structural integrity must
be maintained until completion of project, and then rebuilt before containment is broken. All this must be done while
working in full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and the temporary containments are set up, monitored, and
maintained for the duration of the project, with many different types of Environmental controls such as, plastic walls,
temporary exterior built on containments, negative air filtration dehumidification to dry building materials prior to build
back, which must be run for 24/7, and the integrity & security of the building must be continual until completion.
The compilations of my experiences and skills are wide and varied. I have always had a determined mindset that is; “If
someone else can do it, then so can I”, or as we say in the Seabee’s, I have a “CAN DO” attitude! It has always been
my belief that all things are possible if you learn them right way first, and I have lived my life that way! I have been very
blessed to have learned my trades from some of the best Old School Tradesman and Craftsman in the trades. My
attention to achieving perfection in these trades has given me many opportunities in life to use these skills; as well,
they have sometimes also taken a toll on me physically. I am proud of my abilities and to write them all down would
take many pages. Please ask me if you want to know more about any other skills or experiences not on these pages. I
will tell you honestly. If I am not able to do something or I need to learn how to do it first, I will also tell you that!
Although I am not perfect by any means, I have many valuable assets to offer, including Honesty, Integrity, Ethics, and
Pride in my Workmanship, these are my guides in working relationships in whatever I do. – I would be a strong asset to
your company in any role that may be available.
