We offer custom AR and VR application development
and 3D modeling, as well as teams of developers and
artists that can be integrated on a long-term basis into
our clients’ operations. We offer our clients deep
expertise, broad capability, the highest quality, and the

Please expand on your Content Creation, Technology
Innovation, System Integration services.
Content Creation is the core of what we do. We
develop AR/VR applications that are used across many
sectors, including medical VR for surgery training and
behavioral therapy; AR for manufacturing machine
maintenance and VR for industrial training; AR and VR
for executive skill development; consumer VR gaming
and branding and marketing AR.
We create photorealistic 3D models that are used to
render images for studio photography replacement, as

When we founded Paracosma, clients’ visions went well
beyond the early VR offerings, so we had to continually
innovate and invent means to realize their vision.
Asking how we could do something new became part of
our company culture.
Systems integration can range from combining VR
software and hardware in a solution to adding force-
feedback haptic gloves to an industrial robotics system.
For example, we are developing a 3D city for an
application to assess taxi driver reactions to road
hazards as they drive. That application has to be
integrated into iPad, desktop, and VR testing systems.
Ken, please brief us about your journey in the AR/VR
space and how you have contributed to the company’s
success.
I am the Founder and CEO of Paracosma. My journey
into AR and VR began as early as the late 80s when I
picked up my first book on VR. In the early 90s, an
interest in theme-park style VR rides partially inspired
me to move across the country. It continued with the
launch and recall of the Nintendo Virtual Boy and Sega
consumer VR systems in 1994.

But the bulk of my career focused more generally on
research and technology trends for investors and, from
the year 2000, on investment in technology as a
venture capitalist. So, by the time the current wave of
consumer VR launched in 2016, I was well prepared

and to have the experience to start a company focused
on the sector.
Even before learning what VR was, from my earliest
years, I balanced a deep love of art with a deep
fascination with technology. Paracosma brings art and
technology together as the core of its focus. Thus, it is
the culmination of life-long passions and experiences
that brought me here.
Being an experienced leader, share with us your
opinion on what impact has the adoption of modern
technologies such as AI had on the AR/VR niche and
what more could be expected in the future?
People generally underestimate the difficulty of AR/VR.
Creating 3D worlds that can be rendered
simultaneously for both eyes is a huge technological
feat. Beyond that, content creation, whether
applications or 3D modeling, is still very manually
intensive.
The next wave of innovation, which we are working on
at Paracosma, is to empower developers and artists
with technology tools to ease their burden and increase
the efficiency of their work. Ultimately, our hope is to
disrupt the human-intensive work we now do and
provide our developers and artists with AI-driven
superpowers to radically boost efficiency. That is
behind the scenes.
What most end users of AR/VR will experience are
increasingly sophisticated AI avatars and in-application
characters. These intelligent systems will be crucial, for
gameplay, storytelling, training, and assessment.
Our ultimate goals are both to create AR objects and
VR worlds that are indistinguishable from real objects
and worlds; as well as to create virtual humans, animals,
and entire systems that are not just believable, but
ultimately pass the “Turing Test” in which you cannot
tell the difference between real and computer-
generated content and experiences.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs
who aspire to venture into the AR VR space?
15. People ask, “what is the killer app for AR/VR?” I ask,
“what is the killer app for life?” Because anything in real
life can be recreated or enhanced in AR/VR. We can
also do even more with AR/VR, which is either impossi-
ble, rare, dangerous, or expensive in real life. And we
can do things virtually that previously existed only in
our dreams and imagination.
Therefore, I would suggest entrepreneurs to think of
AR/VR as a destination but as tool to pursue their
passions and expertise, especially if those can be more
easily expressed or realized through the use of AR/VR
compared to traditional means. Start by imagining what
can be done now with AR/VR that was never possible
before, then make it happen.
How does 2022 look for you and Paracosma?
Paracosma sees 2022 as a real inflection point for our
business. Historically our clients outsourced projects to
our teams to work on semi-independently. With the
embrace of remote work by enterprises, our developers
and artists can now be insourced directly into client
organizations and work side-by-side on a daily basis
with the clients.
The distinctions between direct employees and
external contractors are being diminished as companies
seek out the best talent and expertise regardless of
their location or source. We make it easy for our clients
to onboard exceptionally capable developers and
artists, while removing the burden of the logistics and
overhead associated with that process. This transition
provides greater continuity and visibility, both for our
clients and our business.
Give us a few testimonials of your clients/customers
that accurately highlight your organization’s position
in the market.
We are doing a lot of exciting things, like creating brain
training, board games, and 360 videos for AARP’s
Alcove VR app. But most of our clients are large
enterprises and fast-growing startups that are under
‘no-name’ non-disclosure agreements.
We are playing a role behind the scenes to contribute
to our clients’ success rather than trying to take credit
for it. If you think of Infosys, for example, they have
built a business with $14 billion of revenue providing IT
services behind the scenes for massive global
organizations, but most people have not heard of
Infosys, do not know what they do and certainly cannot
name their clients.

Filip: We concentrate on three verticals: branded

Please tell us about your journey in the industry and
how you have made the company excel in its niche
market.
Dusan: 2immersive4u arose from my extensive
experience in the music and entertainment industries.
Two years ago, it was clear to me that something in the
industry needed to change and that a new form of
entertainment relying on immersive experiences would
evolve. As we see with recent metaverse developments,
that is just about right.
Please share your opinion on what impact the
adoption of modern technologies such as AI and ML
has had on the AR/VR niche and what more could be
expected in the future.
Filip: Technologies such as AI and ML have been
impacting all industries for a long time now. Our
approach is to look at technology not just for the sake
of the technology but how we can best utilize it to solve
business and customers' needs.
Tell us about the various industries that your company
caters services to. How do you ensure they meet the
client organization's requirements?
Dusan: Projects, where we shine, are where our time
can have the creative freedom that we need to utilize
the medium to the fullest. Be it in a commercial for a
consumer goods brand, an animated show, or a new
music video. We focus on three verticals mentioned in
the questions above.
In your opinion, what could be the future of the
AR/VR service providers' industry? And how are you
strategizing your company's operations for that
future?
Filip: The future of the immersive industry is in content.
Much has already been done in the technological field,
and users need to see more quality content come out of
the medium.
Another critical aspect is simplicity. Today's consumers
lead busy lives, and we need to understand how to best
position the new technology as being more
straightforward than more complex experiences.
What would your advice be to the budding
entrepreneurs and enthusiasts aspiring to venture
into the competitive industry that you are serving?
Dusan: Don't just chase the hype and try to look at the
objective industry. By doing so, beginners in the
industry will understand how they can uniquely
contribute to the advancement of the industry.
How do you envision scaling your company's services
in 2022 and beyond?
Filip: We see considerable potential in animated shows
and in collaborating with creators worldwide, especially
in Japan.
