Genesis 1:5 - Meditate the Scripture Daily bit by bit
Living As You Were Called Slides, 11/30/14
1.
2. Only
let
each
person
lead
the
life
that
the
Lord
has
assigned
to
him,
and
to
which
God
has
called
him.
This
is
my
rule
in
all
the
churches.
Was
anyone
at
the
<me
of
his
call
already
circumcised?
Let
him
not
seek
to
remove
the
marks
of
circumcision.
Was
anyone
at
the
<me
of
his
call
uncircumcised?
Let
him
not
seek
circumcision.
For
neither
circumcision
counts
for
anything
nor
uncircumcision,
but
keeping
the
commandments
of
God.
Each
one
should
remain
in
the
condi<on
in
which
he
was
called.
3. Were
you
a
bondservant
when
called?
Do
not
be
concerned
about
it.
(But
if
you
can
gain
your
freedom,
avail
yourself
of
the
opportunity.)
For
he
who
was
called
in
the
Lord
as
a
bondservant
is
a
freedman
of
the
Lord.
Likewise
he
who
was
free
when
called
is
a
bondservant
of
Christ.
You
were
bought
with
a
price;
do
not
become
bondservants
of
men.
So,
brothers,
in
whatever
condi<on
each
was
called,
there
let
him
remain
with
God.
1
Corinthians
7:17-‐24
(ESV)
6. For
consider
your
calling,
brothers:
not
many
of
you
were
wise
according
to
worldly
standards,
not
many
were
powerful,
not
many
were
of
noble
birth.
But
God
chose
what
is
foolish
in
the
world
to
shame
the
wise;
God
chose
what
is
weak
in
the
world
to
shame
the
strong;
God
chose
what
is
low
and
despised
in
the
world,
even
things
that
are
not,
to
bring
to
nothing
things
that
are,
7. so
that
no
human
being
might
boast
in
the
presence
of
God.
And
because
of
him
you
are
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
became
to
us
wisdom
from
God,
righteousness
and
sanc<fica<on
and
redemp<on,
so
that,
as
it
is
wriOen,
“Let
the
one
who
boasts,
boast
in
the
Lord.”
1
Corinthians
1:26-‐31
(ESV)
8. I. The
grass
is
greenest
where
God
has
placed
you.
9. I. The
grass
is
greenest
where
God
has
placed
you.
II. We
water
our
grass
by
feeding
our
rela?onship
with
God.
10. Therefore,
as
you
received
Christ
Jesus
the
Lord,
so
walk
in
him,
rooted
and
built
up
in
him
and
established
in
the
faith,
just
as
you
were
taught,
abounding
in
thanksgiving.
Colossians
2:6-‐7
(ESV)
11. I. The
grass
is
greenest
where
God
has
placed
you.
II. We
water
our
grass
by
feeding
our
rela?onship
with
God.
III. Serving
the
Lord
HERE/NOW
is
more
impacHul
than
changing
our
situa?on.
