Java Developer - Big Data - London

1. Java Developer – Multimillion $ BIG Data start-up.
Campbell North are urgently seeking a number of Java Developers that are interested in big data to join a leading
start-up that specialises in big data analytics. As a Java Developer you will have the opportunity to join some of the
most talented engineers, researchers and scientists in the market. A large proportion of the core team hale from
Oxford, Cambridge, Google and Yahoo.
You will be working for a company that specialises in building big data analytics platforms through new and
innovative methods such as images, videos and games.
On a day to day basis as a Java Developer you will be responsible for scoping, design, implementation, integration
and maintenance of a core products features and functionality and it will be expected that you take ownership of
your solutions and contribute to all areas of the business from a technical point of view.
If you have not already done so you will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies like Hive,
Hadoop, Cassandra, NoSQL, Scala / Java and you will work in a collaborative environment so learning will be easy.
In order to apply for this Java Developer role you must have:
Java
OO Programming skills
Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or related BSc/MSc
If you have the following it would be nice:
Scala
Apache Hadoop AND Apache Hive
NoSQL Databases, ideally Cassandra
Jira, Jenkins or other deployment tols
Some knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS (Although this will not be a focus at all)
