OTAs
 OTA (Online Travel Agency) are company that use the web in
   order to propose to any customer, hotels, flight, packages and so
   on.
People just have to go on the website of an OTA and put the wanted
destination, price, type of prestation,…
These OTA received a certain percentage of each booking depending
on what is writing in the contract with each hotel.
They are very present on the web and ensures to hotels a better
visibility on the Internet.


 Examples: Expedia, Booking.com, Agoda, …
Channel Management
 Channel Management is a special type of management of OTAs.
   Using a channel manager, this system is related to a hotel via a
   contract and gather all the OTAs in which the hotel is present and
   ensures that every booking made by any customer on these OTAs
   is directly registered on this channel manager.
So it is a easier way for hoteliers to deal with all the bookings on the
web.
On the other side, channel manager provides also, if the hoteliers
wants to pay for it, marketing, E-business or for example reviews
prestations.


 Examples: AvailPro
SEO
 SEO (Search engine optimization) is all the techniques
  that describes, for hoteliers, the way to follow for
  improve the ranking of their website on the net. In
  France, 90% of research are made through through
  Google and that is why we have to improve a maximum
  the ranking on this website.

 Examples: Daily Blog tips, Google Help/FAQ’s, visible
  on Wikipedia.
SEM
 SEM (Search Engine Marketing) gather all the
  techniques used to take advantage of the marketing
  and commercial activity of information research
  websites on the Internet.

It is a kind of internet marketing dealing with the website’s
promotion by increasing the visibility in SEO.



 Examples: Yahoo.
Customer Engagement
 Customer engagement (CE) refers to the engagement
  of customers with a company or a brand. This
  engagement can be done on or offline.
The online engagement is more qualitative than the offline
because of the interactivity they have directly with the
company or brand.


 Examples: Pizza Hut application where people have to
  register, and pay the bill through the application directly.
Roomkey
 Roomkey has combined the forces of six hotel chains
  to create a new search engine for guests seeking
  rooms. Choice, Hilton, Hyatt, InterContinental, Marriott
  and Wyndham are the joint owners of
  Roomkey.com, which removes online travel agents
  from the booking process and sends guests to the
  chains' own websites for payments.

Roomkey is great and very useful Hotel Search Engine for
these hotel chains.
