As an accomplished Health Care Administrator with fifteen years in long-term care within the Veterans
Health Administration (VHA), I am excited to pursue the next stage of my career as an Assisted-Living
Administrator in-training within California. Enclosed is my resume.
My resume points out my extensive and long-term care involvement in serving veterans and seniors
within the healthcare system. Upon retiring from the VHA and, being a Respiratory Care Training
Consultant, I was inspired to return to California and pursue my passion in the long-term care industry.
My plan was to update and sharpen my knowledge and skills as a leader. I have evolved as a long-term
care Administrator. I received my California licenses as a Nursing Home Administrator and Residential
Care for the Elderly Administrator in 2013. In 2015, I completed intensive training in:

 Substance Abuse In Older Adults

On December 10, 2015, I became a Certified Dementia Practitioner with the National Council of Certified
Dementia Practitioners. To update my financial management skills, I completed coursework in Medical
Insurance Billing & Coding which includes courses in ICD 9 & 10. Now I am eager to contribute my long-
term health care experience to benefit an organization’s goals and help improve their challenges. I am a
team player and I love solving problems which was a major part of my job at VHA headquarters. I
researched and answered congressional inquiries related to VHA’s readiness for providing long-term
care services to veterans in the 21st
century. I am confident that I will be an asset to your organization,
and I am ready to be a part of your team. I hope to be invited for an interview. I look forward to hearing
