28. Applying for a student visa
• Short stay student visa < 3 months
• Long stay student visa > 3 months
• Apply once you received your letter of
acceptance of the French university, at least
2 months before the departure (contact the
cultural section of the French Embassy)

29. Working in France
• With a student visa, possibility to work up to 21
hours per week
• The minimum gross hourly wage is 9€ net
(around PhP 510)
Health insurance
• Students who are under 28 years old enrolled in
a recognized educational institution for a
program of at least 3 months are automatically
enrolled in the student section of the national
health insurance plan
• After age 28, students must purchase a health
insurance (www.ameli.fr)
