2. What is “All Star” Profile
Strength?
• The Profile Strength meter is on the right side
of your profile and gauges how robust your
profile is.
• The strength will increase as you add more
content.
3. The Benefits of “All Star”
Profile Strength
• Ensures your profile will appear in LinkedIn Search
results.
• You will appear higher in a search based on the
following criteria:
1. Profile Completeness (100% only)
2. Connections in Common (shared)
3. Connections by Degree (1st Degree, then 2nd, then 3rd)
4. Groups in Common (shared)
4. Accessing the Profile Strength
Meter
• Log in to LinkedIn.
• Click “Profile”.
• Profile Strength Meter will be on the far right side.
6. Requirements for “All Star”
Profile Strength
• Your Industry and Location
• An up-to-date Current Position (with a description)
• Two Past Positions
• Your Education
• Your Skills (minimum of 3)
• A Profile Photo
• At least 50 Connections
7. Tips for Completing your
LinkedIn Profile
• Take your time. It will probably take many sessions to
update your profile and make it perfect.
• Learn from other LinkedIn Profiles. This will help you
decide what you like and do not like .
• Do not use your resume as your only source of
information.
• Make sure that your photo is professional.
Example: wear clothes you would wear to an
interview.
