Carmen Ewald has provided excellent customer service to a University of Phoenix student, Daphne Merk, throughout her enrollment and graduation from the university. Carmen enrolled Daphne in her bachelor's degree program and checked in regularly to ensure her success. When Daphne traveled to Phoenix for her commencement ceremony, Carmen was the only university representative who met with her personally. Even after graduating, Carmen continues to be Daphne's main point of contact at the university. Daphne credits Carmen with making her not feel like a number and overcoming the disconnect of an online education. She recommends that Carmen receive recognition for her outstanding job performance and strong support of students.

Re: Ms. Carmen Ewald, Enrolment Advisor
For the University of Phoenix
Dear Mr. Williams,
I am writing to you today about one of you most amazing employees, Carmen Ewald. Several
years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Carmen over the phone when she called me about
enrolling for my bachelor degree with the University of Phoenix. Carmen came across to me as
a very personable, more than capable representative of the University Of Phoenix. Of course
Carmen enrolled me into my bachelor degree program which I have successfully completed.
Throughout the last two years Carmen has checked in with me to ensure I was being successful
and to see if I had any questions. I have come to know that when I need any information I can
go to Carmen and get the answer I am looking for and direction; when many others have come
up short in this area.
Naturally when I had decided to make the trip to Phoenix for the commencement ceremony I told
Carmen. Out of all the people who knew that I was coming, Carmen was the face of the
University of Phoenix that met me and personally spent time with me. Realizing that I have been
going to the University of Phoenix for the past 4 years and Carmen is the only person who has
been a consistent part of my experience. Even now that I have graduated, Carmen continues to be
my life line to the University of Phoenix.
In this busy world of people rushing to fulfill ones daily obligations, I have never felt like a
number in your large university. Going to college on line has a way of creating a tremendous
disconnect, having awesome employees like Carmen do not come about every day. Coming
from someone in the customer service world, Carmen rates with an A+.
My hope is that you will take the time to thank Carmen for an awesome job and being a strong
face and life line to the University of Phoenix.
Sincerely,
Daphne L. Merk
