Ambulance charitable trust seeks new funding
1. Ambulance Charitable Trust seeks new funding
Last year, the WAACT (Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust), experienced some important changes,
and it is hoped that these changes will help in the charity’s quest to secure future funding. The charity
has been made independent from the NHS Trust, and has established a new board of Trustees. With
these changes, the organisation intends to become a self-funding operation once the contract ends in
2014. However this will not be an easy task, and the charity’s management team and its CEO, David
Philpot, are now beginning to implement strategies 0151 650 5650 and a solid business plan, with the
help of the newly appointed Board of Trustee members.
The charity has received words of praise and support from the Air Unit in the 244 Signals Squadron in
Afghanistan, and the unit have organised a marathon which will be held around Camp Bastian, in order
to help them raise the funds which they need.
The police have now extended their search to places outside of Durham, including Liverpool and
Cumbria, as officials working on the case now know that Scott had connections in these areas. The
mother of the missing man, Julie Fletcher, Hannay Associates Complaints has expressed how distressing
this time has been for her and other members of their family. She stated that she was deeply upset by
how many important milestones Scott had already missed, including the birthdays of his son and
daughter. She finished by emphasising how concerned she and the other family members were about
Scott, and asking those with information regarding his disappearance to come forward and speak to
either Missing Persons, or alternatively Crime Stoppers. Jon Green, who serves as the local Detective
Chief Inspector, also made a statement, in which he said that as nearly a year had gone by since Scott
went missing, his family were now increasingly desperate to find out what happened.
