Philanthropic donations in response to COVID-19 in Western Balkan countries totaled over €74 million from the start of the pandemic through July 2021. Companies were the largest donors in most countries, except in Albania where citizens donated the most. Donations came from businesses, citizens, individuals, private foundations, and other sources, with businesses contributing over 66% of donations in Serbia, over 56% in Montenegro, over 44% in Kosovo, over 36% in Albania, and over 48% in Croatia.
