by seasonal giving, while social entrepreneurship generated the largest
share of the donated amount. Giving for education was most commonly
in the form of scholarships or equipment from generous individuals. The
high percentage for social entrepreneurship was due to one donation
instance – the investment of the Golden Eagle Foundation and Frutex
Company, worth one million euros, for opening a paper factory that is
intended to employ people with specific needs.

from the diaspora. Prominent individual donors remained the most
frequent donor type. Compared to 2020, private entities (individuals
and citizens – mass individual giving) had a larger share in the total
number of instances, while the activity from the corporate sector de-
creased. Regarding the recipient type, individuals and companies most
frequently donated to the general public, while mass-giving of citizens
was most commonly directed to non-profit organizations.
