3. Once the 4G roaming Wi-
Fi device is powered ON,
it detects all available
networks within its
coverage area.
A dial-up VPN connection
between the device and
the SaaS (Software as a
Service) platform is
established using the
Embedded SIM (SEED
SIM) in the device.
Using the same VPN
connection, YRoam
Customer credentials
(“user credentials”) are
authenticated by SaaS.
Successful authentication
of user credentials by
SaaS platform triggers
the device to search and
populate a public list of
available mobile networks
and provisions a SIM
remotely.
The device selects and
connects to the optimal
network. It periodically
scans available networks
and switches
automatically to ensure
the user is constantly
connected.
Services will now be
activated and users can
connect up to five Wi-Fi
enabled devices to their
YRoam device.

7. Ericsson Mobility Report Q3 2017 Report
The number of mobile subscriptions is growing at almost 6 % year-on-
year, reaching 7.8 billion, and growing by 95 million in Q3 alone.
The number of mobile broadband subscriptions is growing at around 20
% year-on-year, increasing by 210 million in Q3 2017 alone. The total
number is now 5 billion!
Over the same period- GSM/EDGE-only subscriptions declined by 130
million, whilst other technologies declined by around 5 million.
Subscriptions associated with smartphones now account for 57 % of all
mobile phone subscriptions.
37% of subscriptions in North America are expected to be for 5G in 2023,
versus just 16% in Western Europe.
Its estimated that by the end of 2023, the Middle East and Africa will
transform from a situation where half of all mobile subscriptions are
GSM/EDGE-only, to one where 90% will be for mobile broadband.
China had the most net additions
during the quarter (+30 million),
followed by Indonesia (+7 million), the
US (+4 million), Angola (+4 million) &
Pakistan (+3 million).
8. Mobile Data Traffic Outlook
Monthly data traffic continues to increase in all regions across the
world. It is estimated that by 2023, monthly global mobile data traffic
will surpass 100 ExaBytes.
North America has the highest usage, expected to reach 7.1GB per
month per smartphone by the end of the year. It’s estimated to
increase to a whopping 48GB by the end of 2023!
Western Europe has the second highest usage, expected to reach 4.1GB
by the end of 2017 and 28GB by the end of 2023.
India is estimated to reach 3.9GB per month per smartphone at the end
of 2017 (mainly due to an introductory LTE offer by an operator during
the latter half of 2016, which included free voice and data traffic). Data
traffic is expected to continue to grow, reaching 18GB per month per
smartphone in 2023.
9. Mobile Data Traffic Outlook cont…
Mobile data traffic grew 65% between Q3 2016 and Q3 2017
driven primarily by the viewing of video content inclusive of
embedded video in social media and webpages.
Video data consumption was impacted on by larger screen
devices and higher resolution which typically increases the data
traffic volume by around 4 times.
One other driving factor is the increasing preference among
consumers for on-demand and catch-up TV; and its estimated
by as early as 2020 that half of all TV and video viewing will be
done on a mobile screen.
The most popular mobile data plans are those with limits
ranging from 2 to 5GB per month; applicable both in higher and
lower GDP countries.
10. Mobile Data Plans
The most popular mobile data plans are those with limits
ranging from 2 to 5GB per month; applicable both in higher
and lower GDP countries.
On average, more than 60% of users on the smallest plans
(lower than 100MB) exceed their data allowance by over
200%. They tend to not feel bound by their limits and
instead consume on a “pay-as-you-go” (PAYG) basis.
In higher GDP countries, unlimited users consume around
20% more than users of 10-50GB plans. However, in lower
GDP countries they consume around 40-45% less.
Of all the traffic generated by the users of limited plans,
around 30% is consumed above allowances.
Plans with 2GB or less per month allowances represent
around 35% of users and 12% of data traffic.
11. Mobile Data Plans continued…
Plans with 50GB+ per month allowances represent around only
6% of users yet over 20% of data traffic
Users with plans below 100MB consume around 5% of data via
mobile networks versus users with unlimited plans whom can be
as high as 35%.
What does this all mean for Y-Roam?
We already cater for most user groups with PAYG, small and
medium sized data bundles available.
Bespoke corporate package capabilities offering unlimited usage

12. Our Wi-Fi services support WPA2/PSK 128bit
encryption.
Our devices use CCMP as the encryption
protocol…the strongest in the industry!
Providing data confidentiality, authentication,
integrity and replay protection.
The encryption key is refreshed every 30
minutes, in the background, between your
device and YRoam unit.
Unlike competitors, Y-Roam never throttles
data…you will have full speed access to every
last MB purchased!
Customers don’t have to notify us when they
are travelling, or elect a destination of travel;
the device will dynamically connect in any of
the covered 100+ countries where a 3G or 4G
signal is available from one of networks
enabled on our system.
Our technology is at the forefront of the
mobile industry; offering innovative solutions
