It was soooooo colourful at the AMTEC Club at 37 where we hosted another tennis clinic. We
are truly inspired by what we saw, the enthusiasm and drive demonstrated by these young
people are admirable and a demonstration that the resources we invest in them are worth-
while.
10. The Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) for the first time
in history hosted the Confederation of African Tennis
(CAT) Annual General Meeting, dinner and awards at
the Accra city hotel from the 14th to 15th of October
2022 which turned out to be a historic event as well
as a historic achievement to the credit of Ghana
Tennis.

awards were the International Tennis Federation (ITF)

Santilli, President of CAT Mr Tarak Cherif, CAT Vice

needed to support the dream of young people

people at the front and centre of its initiatives and is
constantly introducing innovations that create an
atmosphere of fun, and promote education and

HENRY KWAKU NYANTEH LARBI, National Coordinator - Ghana Wheelchair
Tennis
Collaborating with Hope Tennis Performance Foundation for 2 years now has
gingered the development of Wheelchair Tennis in Ghana. The 2022 Hope
Foundation wheelchair tennis training camp in Cape Coast equipped our
wheelchair tennis players with the required skills and techniques to develop as
professional players. The donated tennis rackets and balls will add up to the
equipment each player needs to train as a professional player. We anticipate
that Hope Foundation will support Ghana Wheelchair Tennis in preparing
Team Ghana Wheelchair Tennis to participate in the first-ever Africa Para
Games to be held in Accra 2023 which is a qualifier for Paris 2024 Paralympic
Games.

CEDRIC DZELU, Executive Director
It has been a humbling and rewarding experience for me to lead a
dynamic team of young people to provide the kind of leadership that is
needed in the modern age to drive a mandate that is very clear yet
challenging as using tennis to empower young people for a better
future. I sincerely owe all the success we have achieved as a founda-
tion to all my team members and our donors who have voluntarily
committed to coming on this journey with me. They all deserve to be
celebrated uniquely
GIOVANNI ADINYIRA, Head of Programs and Projects
2022 was a rewarding season for our Clinics and Regional tours. Winne-
ba is always amazing, and the numbers and enthusiasm of the coach-
es and participants is always a joy. This year the President of the Foun-
dation graced the Cape Coast Wheelchair Clinic and it was very
impactful. One key addition to this year's program was the addition of
the current issue of Global Climate Change to our Accra Clinic and it is
in line with one of our pillars of empowering the younger generation
with relevant information. The Stadium Clinic did not fail to crown our
activities in terms of the numbers and we were honoured to have in our
midst the presence of the Osu Mantse HRM Teteete Nii Nortey Owuo IV,
and his message to the young ones was ''Education and Sports should
go hand in hand''. Cheers
ABUBAKARI YAKUBU-LEA, General Tennis Operations
The foundation program of taking the game of tennis to the grass-
roots is undoubtedly changing lives.
REUBEN CURLLY-WOODE, Operations Manager
My experience for this year, the 2022 Hope foundation tennis clinic
was great, the teamwork behind it from me and my colleagues. The
skills, determination, dedication and sacrifices each and everyone is
making for this foundation to make sure it goes higher and strong in
the future are unimaginable.

ILEANA JENNINGS, Administrative Assistant communication
coordinator
Enock's story touched my heart. He is passionate about his home country
Ghana. He is as equally passionate about the positive influence tennis had on
him. Enock knows his tennis ability is a God-given talent and he uses this gift to
reach out to the youth in Ghana. He combines his abilities and beliefs to help
the youth in his country develop their God-given abilities. Tennis is the vehicle
he used to better his situation and he believes tennis can also be the vehicle
to help others. It is my high honour and privilege to be associated, however
minor, with Enock and his tremendous Hope Performance Tennis program.
SAMUEL OKUADJO LARYEA, Logistics Officer
It has been a great exercise and a great experience, especially this year and
I'm always happy we're giving hope to young people through the game of
tennis.
JACOB NII LOMOTE KWAO LOMOTEY, Creative Designer
The experience was great, for me to see the smiles on the children's faces as
excited and happy about the hope tennis clinic 2022 program.
SAMUEL NARH, Photography and Videography
It was a very great experience being the photographer and the videogra-
pher for Hope Foundation to see how happy the kids engaged themselves in
the game of tennis. Through my camera, I could say they wish to have more
of this clinic every time.

to associate myself with especially our gains in the wheelchair tennis
program and the ITF/CAT/GTF Awards.

Head Pro Enock Godi, my coach, my friend, and my mentor. Coach
Enock has made a profound impact and positive outlook on my life
to accomplish goals I never believed would be possible. From the
first day I stepped on the tennis court, Coach Enock has encouraged
me to reach higher than I thought I could and to be unafraid of
failure. I truly don't believe it would have been possible without him,
and as I look ahead into my world of tennis, I will cherish every
moment of advice he has taught me. I had the opportunity to serve
as a committee member for one of his many fundraisers. The event
raised over forty-three thousand dollars to help fund numerous
clinics in five regions of Africa that will inspire hundreds of children
and adolescents to develop not only athletic skills but life skills that
will affect them in every aspect of their life for the rest of their life.
Coach Enock has been and continues to be an excellent role model
to me, tennis players of all ages, and the people in West Africa. I will
forever be grateful to Coach Enock as he has always gone above
and beyond in every aspect of his life from his training, coaching,
family, and his Christian faith. Atlanta Athletic Club is very fortunate
to have Coach Enock, the recipient of the Continuous Contribution to
Tennis Development in Ghana, an international professional tennis
player, head coach, and compassionate humanitarian. Thank you,
Coach Enock, for your God-given wisdom and patience as a saint.

The leadership of the foundation led by the
President of the foundation Enock Godi and
the Executive Director, Cedric Dzelu paid a
courtesy call on the Chief of Osu His Royal
Majesty, Teteete Nii Nortey Owuo IV to
officially inform him about the work of the
foundation and to broker partnership aimed
at integrating traditional leadership and
cultural values into the work of the
foundation and to empower young people.
The team was well received by the
distinguished Chief and was accorded royal
courtesies. It is worthy of note to put on
record that the Chief, who is a former tennis
player is highly willing to support the work of
the foundation in the traditional area, he
also admonished the leadership of the
foundation to always make it a mandate to
promote education alongside sports
development among children for wholistic
childhood development.
28. 27
The work of the foundation is primarily driven by volunteers and their unbending com-
mitment to ensuring that the next generation gets a shot at success. We are happy to
report that the number of volunteers who dedicated themselves to our work keeps on
increasing and provides us with an enormous human resource to be able to handle the
increasing numbers of young people at our event and to be able to provide a quality
program to achieve our mandate. A Big Ayeekooooo to all the volunteers, from Atlanta
to Ghana who have been the shoulders upon which our initiatives and impact are deliv
-
ered. On behalf of all the young people, we say God Bless you all.
