2. At the beginning of this music video,
there is a long shot and then a close up.
This is very effective in this music video
because, the long shot gives us a feel
that she is on her own and then by her
facial expressions on the close up, she
looks very emotional and very alone. This
is a good starting point for the music
video because it sets the scene and also
how the song is meant to be
represented.
3. The setting of this music video is
absolutely beautiful, it corresponds with
the song because the song is just as
beautiful as the setting. Within this
music video they don't have many props
this is because the song, the place and
the singer is just absolutely perfect
together, it wouldn't be right if there was
loads going on because its an emotional
song about a journey in life that
everyone will take.
This is the prop that has been used, as
well as the setting corresponds with the
beautiful song, this prop corresponds
with the lyrics “you can break
everything I am, like I’m made of glass”.
4. This music video is quite plain and simple, there isn't a lot going on but it goes to the
softness and the emotion of the song.
At the start of the music video the lighting is very
bright, this sets the mood of the song. The song
has a lot of emotion in it and it is shown through
the lighting. But as we progress through the
music video the lighting dims and becomes more
party like when the song gets to the chorus.
5. During the music video, it flicks to a keyboard
playing a couple of times, also a lot of the music
video is musical instruments playing it makes the
song so much more emotional because the
music is being played right from the heart and
the singer of this song is playing guitar, its so soft
and touching that it is all played from musical
instruments not just a sound track.
The way that the singer is so smooth and so elegant moving around the stage gives
us the feel for the song. The song is very lovely and the music in the background is
beautiful also. This music is pop genre and people across the whole world listen to
this song. My favourite part of the music video is where he is just stood on the stage
singing with his guitar with no movement and just him, his voice, his guitar and the
song, hit a chord with everyone there and everyone listening.
6. At the beginning of this music video, the
name of the song “wild ones” is reflected
through what they do at the start of the
music video. A group of 8 people sky
dive. And obviously that us “wild”
The camera shot used at the
beginning of the music video is
incredible you actually feel like your
falling with them, which is a really
good thing to do to grab the
audiences attention.
7. As the music video progresses it goes a
little off task and some people could get
bored because it then gets repetitive. The
start of the music video is really good and
the use of camera angles is excellent but as
it goes on, the camera angles repeat, long
shot, close up, shot reverse shot. The
audience could get bored towards the end.
This music video is different to the first two I picked, I wanted to research a range of
different music videos, so I could analyse them differently. The first two videos were slow
and heart touching and the last one was very upbeat and dance music. The three videos are
completely different with different things within them that I have tried to pick up on.
