SIMPLE PAST TENSE?
We use it when talking about actions that
happened at specific time in the past.
PAST PRESENT FUTURE
yesterday today tomorrow
Take a look at this example:
The Filipinos survived difficulty in the past.

There are 3 different sounds of “-ed” endings of verbs
in the past tense.
/t/ /Id/
Not all verbs in the past tense are pronounced
the same. There are 3 sound: /d/, /t/, and /Id/
Let us read the following sentences.
1. Nobody noticed the new teacher.
2. The new teacher liked the song.
3. Maria recited formulas in mathematics.
4. They studied short stories and literary forms.
5. Mr. Cruz had mastered his subject.

THE
IRREGULAR
V E R B S
These are verbs that change its spelling
when transformed into the past tense.
NOTE:
There is no other simpler way to know these words.
You must FAMILIARISE AND MEMORIZE the past tense
of the following words.
