1. Tammy Sperle Memorial Athletic Scholarship
History:
In February of 1996, Tammy Sperle was killed in the line of duty by an inmate while
employed at the Huron Valley Correctional Facility. She is survived by her husband and
two sons who attended Lincoln High School and participated in numerous sporting
activities. Because Tammy was such a huge supporter of Lincoln Athletics a scholarship
was set up in her name to remember and honor her. Every year, two $1000.00
scholarships are awarded to one male applicant and one female applicant, based on
academics and athletics. The scholarships are paid for by funds raised from the Annual
Tammy Sperle Memorial Golf Outing put on by friends and family of Tammy’s.
