To whom it may concern,
I am honored to have the opportunity to write this letter for Christa Prior; a coach who I have had
the pleasure of working with this past year. Christa has swum for great coaches in her life and
has taken different aspects of those coaches and made them her own. I enjoy working with her
on deck because she always has new ideas and drills to implement. She has a keen eye for the
proper techniques of the sport and is not afraid to implement change in swimmers under her
watch. Because Christa has competed at all levels, she is confident and is able to relate to
athletes very effectively. Christa Prior is a coach who you want on your team and is capable of
taking a squad to the next level.
One of Christa’s finest qualities is her thirst for knowledge and always wanting to improve on
her skills. Before the 2014-2015 season, Christa studied the proper weight room regimen for
collegiate swimmers and implemented that workout into the Concordia University’s season plan.
It worked extremely well and in my opinion was the major key to our success this season. She is
not afraid of taking a risk and will work hard in helping others improve. She has a strong
relationship with her athletes and they all respond well to her. I often hear the student-athletes
comment on how tough she is and how much they appreciate her in the same sentence. That is a
strong connection. She is honest, trustworthy and dependable and her word is her bond. Christa
holds strong character traits in her personal and professional life and her ability to lead is defined
by her actions.
I hope you will give Coach Christa Prior serious consideration. She a tremendous coach and a
great person. She will make all those around her better. Please feel free to contact me with any
questions.
Sincerely,
Christopher Culp
