5. RECRUITMENT WITHIN THE CREATIVE MEDIA
SECTOR (EXPLAIN WHAT IS PLUS THE
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES)
Job centres & careers advice
This is a place where people can look for available jobs in their area if no
one is advertising employment. This is good because it help people to
get employed and also helps the companies freely advertise their jobs.
The disadvantage is the job can be found by anyone so you might not
get the employee your looking for.
Local & national press
Local and National press provide a media campaign and advertisement
through the press to get what you want promoted. This advertises on a
large scale so you are more likely to get people interested. This would
however be quite expensive for smaller companies.
6. personal contacts & word of mouth
This is about who you know so that you can get things promoted or get a job in a
major company. The word of mouth is when people pass on the word about
you and the bosses of major companies hear about you and wish to hire you.
You are more likely to start at a low raking status in the company this way.
Networking
Meeting people in the industry and talking about how to help you in your career.
This can be good because you get to know people and they can give you
good tips towards your future.
