• Even though Eagle has been packaging compression systems for many
years, few people are aware that Eagle also has an engineered line of
natural gas compression products.
• Natural gas systems consist of primarily boosting compressors, utilizing
both Rotary Vane and Screw technologies.
• Typical package horsepower will range from 10 HP to 300 HP,
designed with electric, hydraulic and engine driven configurations.
• Compressed volumes range from 1e³m³ / day to 60 e³m³ / day,
depending on the package selection.
• Suction pressures vary from 0 PSIG to 50 PSIG and can discharge as
high as 300 PSIG. We have found that these pressure ranges will fit
most typical field gas boosting applications.

Units Overview
• Our systems utilize screw compressor
technology; there are no rings or valves
to wear. The heat generated during
compression is half of what is found on
piston compressors. Screw
compressors offer no wearing parts;
the oil does the sealing, the cooling
and the lubrication. Servicing is limited
to changing oil and filters.
• Gas is dried using a reliable
regenerative type dryer which lowers
water content to less then 4 lbs of
water per MMSCF
• Hydrocarbon dew-point is also lowered
to -15 °C and up to -32 °C
• Dry Gas meets pipeline specs.

This system utilize a Gardner Denver Screw
compressor direct driven by 50 HP electric motor
Inlet pressure: 20 PSIG
Discharge: 250 PSIG
Flow rate: 250 MSCFD
Available in this configuration for:
Max Suction pressure: 50 PSIG
Max Discharge pressure: 250 PSIG
Max Flow rate: 2 MMSCFD (56,000 m³ / day)
Max HP: 300 HP
Eagle has sold over 200 units in the Bonnyville and
Lloydminster area
Also available with Cummins Engine and Hydraulic
motors

This system utilize a first stage Utile rotary vane
compressor and two stage Knox Western reciprocating
compressor.
This unit was designed to allow the client to capture the
vented gas from tanks vapors at atmospheric pressure.
Then it gathered the vented gas from other separation
process at higher pressures 50 PSIG
The tank vapor was boosted by the vane to 50 PSIG along
with the other higher pressure gas from separation process
was boosted to 600 PSIG and delivered the stream to the
sales line.
Why use a vane for first stage;
• Can handle wet gas relatively easy
• Excellent for low pressure application and can
operate on vacuum pressure if necessary

Discharge pressure: 190 PSIG
Flow rate: Up to 200 MSCFD (Dual scroll)

• As the oil resides in the tanks, it gives off vapors thereby increasing the
pressure inside the tank.
• Vapor recovery units are designed to capture vapors and turn them into an
additional income stream while minimizing regulatory and liability exposure.
• These fugitive gas emissions usually average 2,500 BTU content,
compared to typical pipeline gas at 1,000 BTU. Which would make the gas
2.5 times the value of normal produced gas.
• Today’s stronger commodity prices make it even more advantageous to
apply the technology.
• VRU systems are one of the most challenging and most misunderstood
compression applications, working with a reputable, experienced packager
will help avoid several common installation errors and eliminate unwanted
headaches.

rotary vane compressor.
This unit at Encana is currently
capturing 200 MSCFD of tank vapors
and compressing them to 40 PSIG
discharge.
This was built in 2006 with 100%
standby compressor.

This unit was designed to replace a Tuthill
blower at Devon Canada.
The new unit was designed as two module
packages, One for the compressor and
lubrication system, the second one for the
compressor water jacket system.
Which allowed the client to operate at 50
PSIG discharge pressure.
Replacement was easy and cost effective

This unit was installed at West Tide
Lake.
The new unit was designed to allow
the customer to capture the vented
gas from crude oil stock and
discharge at 15 PSIG into two stage
reciprocating. This skid is currently

previously was just vented.

HOME FCU GBU VRU CONTACT WEB • Even though Eagle has been packaging compression systems for many years, few people are aware that Eagle also has an engineered line of natural gas compression products. • Natural gas systems consist of primarily boosting compressors, utilizing both Rotary Vane and Screw technologies. • Typical package horsepower will range from 10 HP to 300 HP, designed with electric, hydraulic and engine driven configurations. • Compressed volumes range from 1e³m³ / day to 60 e³m³ / day, depending on the package selection. • Suction pressures vary from 0 PSIG to 50 PSIG and can discharge as high as 300 PSIG. We have found that these pressure ranges will fit most typical field gas boosting applications.

  • 7. HOME FCU GBU VRU CONTACT WEB Fuel Conditioning Units Overview • Our systems utilize screw compressor technology; there are no rings or valves to wear. The heat generated during compression is half of what is found on piston compressors. Screw compressors offer no wearing parts; the oil does the sealing, the cooling and the lubrication. Servicing is limited to changing oil and filters. • Gas is dried using a reliable regenerative type dryer which lowers water content to less then 4 lbs of water per MMSCF • Hydrocarbon dew-point is also lowered to -15 °C and up to -32 °C • Dry Gas meets pipeline specs. This unit was designed to allow the client to capture the vented gas from tanks vapors at atmospheric pressure. Then it gathered the vented gas from other separation process at higher pressures 50 PSIG The tank vapor was boosted by the vane to 50 PSIG along with the other higher pressure gas from separation process was boosted to 600 PSIG and delivered the stream to the sales line. Why use a vane for first stage; • Can handle wet gas relatively easy • Excellent for low pressure application and can operate on vacuum pressure if necessary Typical systems

HOME FCU GBU VRU CONTACT WEB • As the oil resides in the tanks, it gives off vapors thereby increasing the pressure inside the tank. • Vapor recovery units are designed to capture vapors and turn them into an additional income stream while minimizing regulatory and liability exposure. • These fugitive gas emissions usually average 2,500 BTU content, compared to typical pipeline gas at 1,000 BTU. Which would make the gas 2.5 times the value of normal produced gas. • Today’s stronger commodity prices make it even more advantageous to apply the technology. • VRU systems are one of the most challenging and most misunderstood compression applications, working with a reputable, experienced packager will help avoid several common installation errors and eliminate unwanted headaches.
