Starting from the Chain Bridge, we cross over to Buda and stop in the Castle District
(Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion). We then take you all the way up to the Gellért Hill
(Citadel) to show you the most spectacular view of Budapest. Next, we go back to Pest and
drive through the downtown (Central Market Hall, Synagogue), all the way to the Heroes’
Square (City Park). We then take the Andrássy Avenue, pass by the Opera House and the St
Stephen’s Basilica and stop at the impressive House of Parliament (interior visit). Tour ends
at the Parliament.
Von der Kettenbrücke gelangen wir über die Margaretenbrücke ins Burgviertel und besich­
tigen den Burgberg (Fischerbastei und Matthiaskirche). Nach einem Fotostop auf dem
Gellért-berg fahren wir über die Elisabethbrücke nach Pest in die Innenstadt (Markthalle,
Synagoge). Im Anschluss daran erreichen wir den Heldenplatz im Stadtwäldchen. Nach
einem kurzen Rundgang gelangen wir zur Andrássy Strasse (Staatsoper) und fahren vorbei
an der Stephans­basilika, zum prächtigen neugotischen Parlament (Innenbesichtigung).

We drive on the Margaret Bridge to Buda and stop in the Castle District. During a short walk,

a gorgeous view to the city. Tour ends in the city centre, at Váci street.

The tour starts in the Castle District where we discover the area of the Royal Palace (not incl.
in Tour nr. 1 & 2!). We show you breathtaking views of Budapest and the main attractions of the
district: Castle Theatre, Palace of the Hungarian President, buildings of the National Library,
National Gallery. After a ride on the Castle Hill Funicular we walk over to Pest by taking one of
the most famous bridges of Budapest, the Chain Bridge. After this spectacular walk we take a
Boat Ride on the Danube (duration 1 hour, soft drink incl.). The tour ends at the pier / city centre.
Die Rundfahrt beginnt im Burgviertel, wo Sie nach einem Rundgang zum Königspalast,
vorbei an der Nationalgalerie, der Nationalbibliothek und dem Alexanderpalast (nicht

We take you to the picturesque Artist’s Village, called Szentendre. We wander around the
baroque settlement, built on medieval ruins and walk along the narrow streets. We invite
you for a Lángos (fried Hungarian flat bread)*. Then you will have the opportunity to go
shopping or to visit the Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum
(marzipan figures). During the summer (between 1st of May and 30th of September) we
return to Budapest on the Danube by boat. The tour ends in the city centre. Boat trip
01.05-30.09 (In case of low water and during wintertime return by bus.)
Wir führen Sie in das romantische Städtchen Szentendre (Stadt der Künstler). Während einem
Stadtrundgang laden wir Sie zu einem Lángos (ungarisches Fladenbrot)* ein. Danach haben Sie
Gelegenheit zu einem Einkaufsbummel oder zum Besuch des Margit Kovacs
Ke­ramikmuseums oder des Marzipanmuseums. Im Sommer (01. Mai–30. September) fah­
ren wir anschliessend mit dem Schiff auf der Donau nach Budapest zurück. Tourende im
Zentrum. Schifffahrt 01.05-30.09 (Bei Niederwasser und im Winter Rückfahrt mit dem Bus.)

After checking out the spectacular Parliament building and crossing the Margaret Bridge we
cycle through the lush green Margaret Island. The journey to Szentendre takes us through
Óbuda’s charming town center and follows the Danube passing through fields, forests and
beaches. We have a short break in a pleasant café along the way.
After arriving to Szentendre we park the bikes and take a relaxing stroll through the cobble-
stone streets. First we walk around the historical centre and take a look at the baroque
houses and churches. We invite you for a “Lángos” (fried Hungarian flat bread). After the
guided tour you have a chance to self-explore the artistic shops, galleries and churches of
the town center.
Returning to Budapest you can enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Danube with spectacular
views. Tour ends in the city centre.

History and tradition – We drive you to Gödöllô, to the second largest Baroque Palace of
the world, former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi) and Francis Joseph
(Habsburg Emperor & Hungarian king). This interior visit gives you a glimpse of times under
the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Next, we visit a traditional Farm where you will be wel-
comed with ‘pogácsa’ and with the national welcome drink, pálinka. Horsemen will take you
for a Carriage Ride through the area and will invite you to a traditional Horse Show. The tour
ends at the city centre.
Geschichte und Tradition – Wir fahren Sie nach Gödöllô zur zweitgrössten Barock-
Schloss­anlage der Welt, um die Sommerresidenz des österreichischen Kaiserspaars Franz-
Joseph I und Elisabeth (Sisi) zu besichtigen. Nach der Innenbesichtigung des Palastes,
gelangen wir zu einem Reiterhof, wo Sie mit ungarischem Schnaps und „Pogacsa”
begrüsst werden. Im Anschluss daran erfolgt eine Kutschenfahrt, Sie werden eine traditio-
nelle und eindrucksvolle Reitervorführung erleben und können einen Rundgang durch die
Pferdestallungen machen. Der Ausflug endet im Stadtzentrum.
Histoire et tradition – Visite du 2ème plus grand Palais Baroque du monde á Gödöllô,
résidence d’été de la Reine Élisabeth (Sissi) et de François-Joseph (Empereur des
Habsburg et Roi de Hongrie). La visite intérieure et la promenade dans les jardins du Chateau
vous ramène á l’époque de l’Empire Austro-Hongrois. Nous nous rendons ensuite á une
Ferme tradition-nelle où l’on nous reçoit avec une „Pogácsa” hongroise et une „Pálinka” de
bienvenue. On nous emmène en carriole dans le voisinage et nous assistons á un Spectacle
Équestre traditionnel. Le Tour se termine dans le centre-ville.

Danube Bend – an excursion into Hungary’s history along the ‘Blue Danube’. Short visit to
Slovakia. Esztergom, the centre of the Catholic Church, we visit the largest basilica of
Hungary. We show you in Visegrád (former Royal Residence) a fascinating panorama
on the Danube Valley. Szentendre (artist’s village): we invite you for a walk around the
baroque settlement. During the summer (01.05 – 27.09) we return to Budapest on the
Danube by boat. The tour ends at the pier / city centre. Boat trip 01.05-30.09 (In case
of low water and during wintertime return by bus.)
Ausflug in die Geschichte Ungarns entlang der „Blauen Donau”. Kurzbesuch in der
Slovakei. In Esztergom besichtigen wir die grösste Basilika Ungarns und fahren weiter
nach Visegrád (ehemaliger Königssitz). Nach einem Photostop verbleibt Zeit zu einem
Spaziergang oder zum Mittagessen. In der Künstlerstadt Szentendre zeigen wir Ihnen die
Haupt­sehens­würdig­keiten bei einem Rundgang. Im Sommer (01.05 – 27.09) fahren wir
anschliessend mit dem Schiff nach Budapest zurück. Tourende im Stadtzentrum.

La Courbe du Danube – Une excursion dans l’histoire de la Hongrie près du „Beau Danube
Bleu”. Une brève visite en Slovaquie. Esztergom: on visite la plus grande cathédrale du
pays. A Visegrád (siege royale medieval) nous vous montrons la vue panoramique facinante
de la courbe du Danube. Szentendre: promenade dans le centre baroque de ce Village
d’artistes. En été (01.05 – 27.09) retour á Budapest par bateau. Le Tour se termine á
l’embarcadère du centre-ville. Retour en bateau 01.05-30.09 (En hiver et lors du
niveau bas du Danube: retour en bus.)

Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta! We drive to the city of Kecskemét and after a guided
walk we take you to a traditional Hungarian farm. After the greetings of the horsemen with the
welcome drink (pálinka) they take you around and through the Puszta by horse-carriage. The
program continues with a traditional horse show, which includes several breathtaking field perfor-
mances. You are then invited for a three-course lunch including the famous Hun­garian goulash
soup, accompanied by Hungarian gipsy music. The tour ends in the city centre.
Ein unvergesslicher Tag in der Puszta. Wir besichtigen die Stadt Kecskemét, in der Mitte der
ungarischen Tiefebene (Stadtrundgang) und fahren danach weiter zu einem typischen Bau­
ernhof, wo ungarische Reiter Sie mit Barack Pálinka (Aprikosenschnaps) begrüssen. Dort
werden Sie an einer erlebnisreichen Kutschenfahrt und an einer traditionellen Reiter­vor­
führung der Pferdehirten teilnehmen. Ein weiterer Höhepunkt dieses Ausfluges: das Mit­tag­
essen (Gulaschsuppe, sowie zwei weitere Gänge mit Wein) in einer rustikalen Csarda bei
Zigeunermusik. Tourende im Zentrum.
Passez une journée inoubliable dans la Puszta! Nous allons dans la ville de Kecskemét. Pro­menade
dans le centre-ville, puis nous repartons vers une ferme hongroise traditionnelle. Ac­cueil par les
bouviers qui nous offrent les „Pogácsa” et la „Pálinka” de bienvenue, et départ en char-á-bancs
dans la Puszta! Le programme continue avec un spectacle équestre traditionnel avec des
numéros á vous couper le souffle. Déjeuner typique avec trois plats, dont la fameuse goulache
hongroise, avec vin et musique Tzigane. Le Tour se termine dans le centre-ville.

Kecskemét – che vanta di edifici prestigiosi ed architettura pittoresca– potete visitare una
tradizionale fattoria (tanya) e fare un giro in carrozza attraverso la Puszta, assistendo poi
alla rappresentazione dei famosi csikós (butteri). All’arrivo assaggio della famosa pálinka
(grappa) ungherese e la pogácsa (foccaccina). Incluso anche un tipico pranzo ungherese
(menu di tre portate con la zuppa di goulash) accompagnato dal suono dei violini tzigani. Il

les recibirán con una copa de palinka (aguardiente). Después una vuelta en carro por la

tramiento ecuestre. Al son de la música zíngara, podrán degustar el almuerzo típico
acompanado del famoso goulasch. La excursión se acaba en el centro de la ciudad.

We take you to Herend first, to the world’s largest Porcelain Manufactory (founded 1826).
Following a guided tour through the rooms we invite you for a coffee (possibility for shop-
ping). Next, we drive to Lake Balaton (the largest fresh-water lake of Central Europe) and visit
Tihany Peninsula. We go to Balatonfüred (with the oldest spa in Hungary) and walk along
the famous promenade. Finally, we return to Budapest, the tour ends in the city centre.
Wir führen Sie zunächst nach Herend, die Stadt des berühmten gleichnamigen Porzellans.
Nach einer Führung durch die weltgrösste Porzellanmanufaktur (gegründet 1826), Kaf­fee­
pause im „Porcelanium” und Möglichkeit zum Einkaufen. Danach erreichen wir die
Halbinsel Tihany, das berühmte Naturschutzgebiet. Weiterfahrt nach Balatonfüred (ältes­ter
Badeort am Balaton), wo wir einen Rundgang entlang der be­rühmten Promenade machen.
