We wrapped up an amazing summer internship at Concur where students were hands on with high visibility assignments, continued learning through our spotlight series and of course, a little bit of fun. Read along and explore what each intern had to say about their experience.

“The summer internship program here at Concur
is unparalleled. Whether it is the extensive
amount of face to face time with the company’s
top executives or broad exposure to multiple
projects, the internship program helped me gain
confidence and expand my network. Concur’s
awesome culture also added to the positive
experience.”

“Concur is different from any other company I
have worked for because they focus less on how
much busy work we can do and instead place a
huge emphasis on how the company can help us
grow and build our future. I’ve had unique
opportunities to meet and hang out with the
company executives and spent a large portion of
my hours here gaining valuable information on
professional and career development.”

“I started with a humble amount of knowledge
regarding HR and even less about
compensation, yet this summer I am assisting
with a companywide compensation restructure
project. Everyone is so willing to teach new skills
and share the truly unique and engaging culture
that Concur has to offer.”

“Concur is without a doubt one of the most amazing
companies to intern at. I have certainly been
challenged and have faced interesting work each
day, but am able to overcome these challenges
through the help of my seniors and managers. It
gets me excited to know that my actions are
impactful to the company through the
accounting/tax work I do.”

“Not just because of Whidbey Island, or the
private mariners game booth (really?), or our
COO cheer leading the US futbol team against
Germany…My Concur experience was
ultimately great because I was fortunate to work
with and learn from the awesome Concur Legal
team. Much love. Thank you Concur!”

“What I love about Concur is that I am able to
make significant contributions even though I am
an intern. For example, I am working on putting
together the Mentor Program that Directors and
Client Executives will be using for years to come.
In addition, I have been reaching out to VP’s,
Directors, and Client Execs, to get their feedback
on the process of transferring accounts. From
gathering this info I am working on putting
together a presentation that will suggest changes
within Salesforce and the Success Plan that will
help make Concur more efficient.”

“Throughout my interview process, I was
astounded by how awesome and inviting the
people were. Every person I interviewed with was
enthusiastic, friendly, and wanted to know about me
as a person and not just my GPA. I took the job for
many reasons – great experience, great location,
amazing opportunities- but also because of the
people and so far the culture has been my favorite
part.”
- Accounts Management intern

“As an intern, I’ve been treated like a professional,
handed real responsibilities and given endless
opportunities to learn. For my summer project I was
given the opportunity to design an employee advocacy
program. Once it launches, this program will touch
every employee at TripIt. Normal companies don’t give
their interns this kind of responsibility, but it’s been a
highly rewarding experience for me. My employee
advocacy program will empower employees to become
thought leaders in the industry, develop their
professional networks and share their love for TripIt to
help us expand our social reach. That’s major.”
- Marketing, Social Media (TripIt) intern
