4. KINGDOM DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING COURSE
A disciple is student who has disciplined their
lives with the teachings and lifestyle of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
This work is to be done by the entire body of
Christ not just those who have 5 fold ministry
gifts.
Discipleship is key to laying a sound
foundation for spiritual growth and critical for
kingdom advancement in the earth.
5. MANDATE TO MAKE DISCIPLES
At the Lord’s Ascension into Heaven he gave a
command to make disciples of all nations.
(Matthew 28)
This command has not changed. It is the work
and word of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:17-
20)
Discipleship is more than just sharing biblical
knowledge. It is growing, maturing, and
training others into spiritual maturity. (1
Thessalonians 2:3-13)

Μαθητής (Greek)
Transliteration: mathētēs
Definition: 1) a learner, pupil, disciple
Occurs 268 times in 252 verses in the Greek
concordance of the KJV
Law of the 1st Reference:
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a
mountain: and when he was set, his disciples
came unto him:
-Matthew 5:1
9. THE CALL OF DISCIPLESHIP
Jesus called ordinary men and developed
them into supernatural leaders who turned
the world upside down.
The Lord calls men and women to follow him
from all walks of life. The call is to all but not
all respond to the Lord’s call upon their lives
The call of discipleship means to accept the
Lord’s right to rule and reign in our lives.
10. THE CONDUCT OF DISCIPLESHIP
Jesus has called us to follow him. Once we
do that our lives should look like his.
The Lord has called us to serve others
through practical and through supernatural
ministry.
The conduct of a disciple should reflect the
fruit of the Spirit(Galatians 5:22) and the
manifestation of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12)
11. THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP
The cost of Discipleship involves laying down
our lives for the plans and purposes of God.
Jesus must be first in the life of a disciple
Although it may cost to obey God but it will
always cost more to disobey him
Losing your life is the only way that you will
truly find it.
12. REVIEW & FINAL WORD
Disciples are students of the Word
We are all called to be a disciple of the Lord
Our lives should reflect Jesus in
principle, power, and practice
Discipleship costs laying down our lives
Part of the Great Commission is to make
disciples.
Training disciples can be a messy but it is
well worth it.
