1. What is the Connecticut League of History
Organizations?
We are a nonprofit, member-driven organization whose
purpose is to help historical societies, history museums, and
other heritage organizations and the people who run them
improve their capacity to serve their communities.
We are supported by membership fees, donations, program
income and a partnership grant from Connecticut
Humanities.

All of us receive some financial support as either a
program of Connecticut Humanities, or a partner of
Connecticut Humanities.
By actively working together, we hope to enable you –
teachers and educators – to navigate Connecticut’s
heritage resources.
3. CLHO also collaborates with heritage and
preservation organizations doing all kinds of
innovative work across the state to ensure that
teachers and students in Connecticut have the
best possible access to state, regional and local
history content.
