Seven new cards were released focused on rewards for spending in categories like travel, dining, Amazon purchases and more. Digital payment services like Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay were also highlighted. Some older cards were removed, and information was provided on the Credit Card Monitor research service.

cards in the first half of 2017 that are currently promoted online
-All cards in this slide deck have a focus on rewards, with each credit card
product released in Q1 and Q2 providing users the ability to earn points,
miles and cash back
-Three cards carry special eligibility requirements
-Only 50% as many new cards debuted in the first half of 2017 than in the
first half of 2016
