2. Agreement for the exchange of Business Registry Data
- By the agreement concluded in February 2019, Estonia and Finland shall make
information in business registers mutually available.
- The Finnish registrar of the business register shall forward to Estonian authorities
and persons the same public data that is transferred to them and vice versa.
- The exchange is so far limited to registrars only – not making the information
available to the public
- Data exchange between two countries shall take place via the X-road application –
what does this mean?

4. Suomi.fi Data Exchange Layer
 A standardised way for transferring information between organisations, enabling
the building of safe service entities for citizens, businesses and authorities.
 The Suomi.fi service entity users can receive just the right information from
different registers and systems via the Data Exchange Layer.
 In addition to the quality of services, transparency, data security and privacy
protection are also improved.
 X-Road: a software suite developed and currently in use in Estonia that functions
as part of the technical core of the Suomi.fi service bus.
