2. BIOGRAPHY
Arantxa Sánchez Vicario was born in Barcelona in 1971. She
began to play tennis when she was four years old. In 1989
she won the Final of Roland Garros. She won Steffy Graff.
In 1994 she won four finals. She became Number One of the
world. She represented Spain in Olympic Games for five
editions. She announced her retirement in 2002. After that,
she became captain of the Tennis Cup Federation. She is
considered a fighter in the world of tennis. She was named
“el abejorro de Barcelona” when she was active.

4. Tennis is very popular sport. It isn´t difficult to play . If you want
to play tennis you need a T-shirt, shorts, socks and trainers. You can
play in a clay court or in a grass court. There is a network in the
middle of a rectangular court and one or two players on each side.
This sport consists of exchanging a ball from side to side with help
of a racket. Players begins with a serve. The ball must fall inside the
court of his opponent. Players need to be strong and they need to
have resistance endurance because some matches can be very long
(three or five sets).
Then, they have to be concentrated. The public must be quiet during
the match.
