• Tunneling and Storm Sewer Installation (24/7):
Beginning January 8 for approximately three (3) weeks
15. Support-in-Place (SIP) – Toronto Hydro
• SIP is an alternative method to relocating utility
infrastructure, whereby hydro infrastructure is
temporarily supported using concrete
encasement and steel beams
• Advantage of SIP is reduced impact to road users
and pedestrians as well as less power
interruptions for properties in the vicinity of the
future station
• The SIP method will be used at Mount Pleasant
during the shallow excavation periods
