SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
Enhance continuous improvement.
Relationship between SSE, School Annual Report, SIP and APIP is as
follows:
 School Self-evaluation, which all schools are required, in terms of the WSE
Policy, to conduct on an annual basis, must inform the School Annual Report.
That is, self-evaluations must precede the preparation of the Annual Report.
 The Annual Report informs the Head of Education Department about the
quality of education provision in the school with regard to specific issues; and
 The SIP, including both results from educator and school self-evaluation,
which all schools are required in terms of the WSE policy to prepare and
implement, must detail how the school will deal with areas that need
improvement as: (a) identified through self- and external evaluations and (b)
included in the Annual Report to the Head of Department.
 APIP is produced by those schools identified by the HoD as under-performing.

Learner performance improvement activities for each
subject : Academic Performance Improvement Plan (APIP)
WSE reports are included in the Academic Performance
Improvement Plan
Schedules are approved.
Master file with all the circulars in the office of the principal.
Draft budgets are compiled for the following academic year
during October
a
• The school budget for the following academic year is tabled at a parents
meeting in October.
b
• Approved budgets are submitted to the district office by the last day of the
academic year in December. 5% of the LTSM allocated should be used for
library resources, in line with circular 8/2003.
c
• Procurement is done for NSNP once a quarter for the nutrition program, in
line with the memorandum of understanding and the approved Conditional
grant allocations reflected on the NSNP quarterly schedules.

• Fire extinguishers and fire hoses have been serviced and the next service
date is labelled

Learners with specialized learning needs (LSEN) are indicated as such on SASAMS
only AFTER referral procedure has been followed
Regular discussions are held regarding progress of learners with barriers to
learning and development (parents, educators, SMT, SBST, DBST)

  • 2. SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN Enhance continuous improvement. Relationship between SSE, School Annual Report, SIP and APIP is as follows:  School Self-evaluation, which all schools are required, in terms of the WSE Policy, to conduct on an annual basis, must inform the School Annual Report. That is, self-evaluations must precede the preparation of the Annual Report.  The Annual Report informs the Head of Education Department about the quality of education provision in the school with regard to specific issues; and  The SIP, including both results from educator and school self-evaluation, which all schools are required in terms of the WSE policy to prepare and implement, must detail how the school will deal with areas that need improvement as: (a) identified through self- and external evaluations and (b) included in the Annual Report to the Head of Department.  APIP is produced by those schools identified by the HoD as under-performing.

READINESS 2016 Updated admission register on SA-SAMS Learner performance improvement activities for each subject : Academic Performance Improvement Plan (APIP) WSE reports are included in the Academic Performance Improvement Plan Schedules are approved. Master file with all the circulars in the office of the principal. Draft budgets are compiled for the following academic year during October
  • 13. a • The school budget for the following academic year is tabled at a parents meeting in October. b • Approved budgets are submitted to the district office by the last day of the academic year in December. 5% of the LTSM allocated should be used for library resources, in line with circular 8/2003. c • Procurement is done for NSNP once a quarter for the nutrition program, in line with the memorandum of understanding and the approved Conditional grant allocations reflected on the NSNP quarterly schedules. d • Fire extinguishers and fire hoses have been serviced and the next service date is labelled

Safety procedures in place and known by all personnel and learners Evacuation procedures are practised once a term Procedures for accommodating learners with special needs are in place Register for all injuries , in particular sport, in place and controlled Referral system for learners with special needs is in place

Implement Inclusive Education White Paper School applied for formal concession regarding all learners where applicable Tuition (“pull out”) time table available for learners with learning barriers throughout the year by a support teacher Accommodation of learners experiencing barriers to learning in the ordinary classroom via curriculum differentiation and alternative adapted ways of assessment throughout the year by a support teacher Correct referral procedures are followed throughout the year by a support teacher Learners with specialized learning needs (LSEN) are indicated as such on SASAMS only AFTER referral procedure has been followed Regular discussions are held regarding progress of learners with barriers to learning and development (parents, educators, SMT, SBST, DBST)
