- First you need your challenge – idea, change process. Slightly easier if already established and spreading but you do need something solid on which to sell the change!
- You then need a Call to action – this is best as a personal and as narrative as possible
- The burning platform is becoming an increasingly popular analogy – why do you really need to change?
- Once you have the change and the reasons for it you need a culture to be able to implement that change

- Context specific of course – but sometimes better to seek forgiveness than ask permission
- No easy answers
- Must note the change model but appreciate that this is very multi-faceted
